    GIVEN DATA:
    Support contion simply support
    Span 3000 mm
    Width of the beam 300 mm
    Load 15 KN/m
    Grade of concrete M40 Mpa
    Grade of steel Fe250 Mpa
    Unit weight of concrete 25 KN/m³
    Diameter of rod 20 mm
    Diameter of secondary rod 8 mm

    Step-0 IS456-2000 recommondations


    Span to effective depth ratio 20
    Effective depth of the beam(d) 150 mm
    Clear cover 30 mm
    Over all depth of the beam 190 mm
    Assume D as 300 mm
    Therfore d is equal to 260 mm

    Step-1 Effective span


    1) Clear span + Effective depth 3260
    2)C/C of supports 3300
    3) Effective span of the beam 3300
    Step-2 Load calculation
    Dead load(self weight of the beam)
    simply supported beam of span 3m,load 15KN/m
