Architectural Internship 2 Report
During my days in site, I was always assigned to get the attendance of manpower,
allowing me to interact with different types of workers. During my stay, I became at ease with
them. I asked them various types of construction-related questions.
The site architect is also assigned as the project manager of the site. He supervises what
I do, which is the computations for materials, payroll, vale and cash liquidation. I could roam
around the site anytime.
During my stay, I witnessed the concreting of ground level on the parking and auxiliary
areas. I also saw the installation of ducts, ACCU, CCTV, electrical wires, roof frames, ceilings,
doors, tiles, and plastering of walls. I must admit that I’ve learned stuff that I couldn’t acquire in
my stay in the university. My learning was more on structural, electrical and mechanical
discipline. This is pertaining to the construction site in Melting Pot located in Ciudad Verde,
Fairview.
Our occasional visit in Seacrest Maritime also taught me various things when it comes to
as-built. We always measure walls, fenestrations and observe the placement of fixtures and
furniture. When in office, we make the perspectives based on the actual site with revisions
(adapting the new plans made for renovation and retrofitting).
