Host Agent Upgrade steps:
Checking current version

Extracted downloaded Host Agent SAR files in /MEDIA/Host_Agent/
Executed command: ./saphostexec -upgrade
Below screen shows host agent upgraded successfully.
Use Below Commands to start SUM:

Execute : $ ./STARTUP confighostagent GRD
Execute command: $ ./STARTUP GRD
Use below link to launch GUI browser:

http://ampanal50013:1128/lmsl/sumabap/GRD/doc/sluigui/
select Downloaded stack file from : /MEDIA/NW_GRC_UPG/

After giving password (indsap00 ) Click on next
Select import SPAM version and click on Next
Select kernel media from : /MEDIA/NW_GRC_UPG/51050826_3

Paste path /MEDIA/NW_GRC_UPG/51050826_3 in path tab and click on Next.
Paste requested path /MEDIA/NW_GRC_UPG/51050829 in path tab and click on Next.

Select option ‘ no migration’ and click on next.
Below Error occurred due low database version.

Start upgrade procedure after upgrading Database version if this errors triggers.
After DB upgrade click on Next.

Give stack XML file location and click on next.
Select – “ No Migration “ and click on next. ( Screen not pasted here)

Review below information and click on next.
Click on next.
Select below options and click on next.
These standard processes will be shown initially.

Update below processes numbers and click on next.
Deselect Germany and click on next.

Stopped SAP application for GRD patching resuming the SUM Tool after system start again.
Click on NEXT.
Check error and Click on next on this screen
Give language media location:
GRD : /MEDIA/NW_GRC_UPG/Language/5105829/ and click on next.
Click on next.
Apply Below requested notes in SAP GRD system.
Transport Request NO’S:
GRDK900134 MS12823 NW_Upgrade_SPAU Adjustment for R3TR CLAS deliveries
GRDK900132 MS12823 NW_Upgrade_DD_INT_UPDATE_DDFTX hangs without end

After applying notes click on next.
Click on next.
Click on NEXT if no Transport request you have.

Check suggested information by clicking on Information tab.
Same screen copied earlier refer that:

Click on NEXT
Enter grdadm password : indsap00 and click on NEXT.
Click On information tab for more errors. And Create the tables requested and grant full permission for
those tables.
Commands for creating tables:

After creating tables click on NEXT.
Select YES and click on NEXT.

Click on NEXT.
End of Checks Phase and next Preprocessing phase will start. Click on NEXT.
Release, transport requests and click on back and click on next again.
Below screen appears. Ask ABAP team to do necessary corrections.

Starting from this phase after receiving confirmation from ABAP Team.
Drop Mail to Security team and managers that we are locking the objects. At the point, you reached lock
phase.
Click on next.
Refer to error and increase dialog work processes & Background work processes.
Grant permission to the below highlighted tables. After giving permission issue will be resolved.
Click on next.
Increased Dialog and back ground work process numbers.
Execute below commands for tablespaces:
Commands:
Execute below commands while struck in this phase.
db2 "grant use of tablespace GRD#EL750D to role SAPAPP"
db2 "grant use of tablespace GRD#EL750I to role SAPAPP"
db2 "grant use of tablespace GRD#ES750D to role SAPAPP"
db2 "grant use of tablespace GRD#ES750I to role SAPAPP"

Repeat the phase again issue will be resolved. Click on next.
Complete the listed actions and click on next.

After completing all actions click on next.

Let process run.
After Backup Completion click on next.
Check CHECKS.LOG file and take screen shot from OS -level in the below highlighted path.
/MEDIA/SUM/abap/log/CHECKS.LOG
After that click on next.

CHECKS.LOG file output. All steps should show with status as successfully completed. If all shown
successful you are good till this phase. Proceed further.
Click on NEXT.
EXACT GRD Downtime Timing:
IST : 1:17 PM
EST : 3:47 AM
Downtime Phase Started: It will execute for 3 hours.

After completion of downtime it will ask to take full backup of database. Ask DB team to take full backup
and click on next.
Take database Backup.
Full backup Requested Time:
IST: 3.35 PM
EST: 6:05 AM

Downtime finished : Total 3:15 hours taken for GRD system downtime

EST – 5th Aug 2017 7:05 AM

Again take screen shot of CHECKS.LOG file and it should show all as successfully completed. After taking
screen shot click on NEXT.
Click on NEXT and drop mail to ABAP team to perform SPAU activities. ABAP can complete SPAU activity
in 14 days.
Click on NEXT.
Cleaning process is running on.
SAP NETWEAVER 7.5 and GRC SAP ACCESS CONTROL 10.1 Upgraded successfully.

Post – Steps After Upgrade: Click on information tab for suggestions on the final completion screen
shot.It will suggest few post steps you should follow after upgrade.
Release, jobs using BTCTRNS2.

Ask security team to complete below suggested steps.
