    Therapy
    • Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) are the mainstay of RA
    therapy.
    • NSAIDs and corticosteroids (oral, intramuscular, or intra-articular) for
    controlling pain and inflammation  only for short-term management.
    DMARDs are the preferred therapy.
