    Hem and Pankaj visited Baljeet Kang's organic farm on August 2, 2016. The farm had been organic for 5 years and consisted of 6 acres of land under organic cultivation of basmati rice, ghia crop, haldi and arbi. They observed the harvesting of karela crop, an old mango tree, friendly insects pollinating the ghia flowers, earthworms and insect activity in the soil, green manure used to fertilize the soil, weaver bird nests, and nitrogen fixing crops. The farm exhibited the sights and sounds of a natural, non-chemical farm.
