Ingredients :
1 cup sugar
1/3 light corn syrup
1/3 water
Food coloring (I use green.)
Flavored oil for candy (I use lime-flavored oil.)
4 lollipop sticks
Steps :
Spray the insides of the lollipop molds** with nonstick vegetable oil spray (don’t use the olive
oil flavor; use something that is flavorless such as canola).
In a small saucepan, mix together sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil over medium-
high heat without stirring.
When the temperature is within the 250-260 degrees F range, add the food coloring until you
get the desired color. Gently swirl the pan to mix in the color.
Continue to cook the syrup until the mixture reaches 300 degrees F.
Take the pot off the heat and stir in a couple of drops of the flavored oil.
Pour the hot syrup into the prepared molds. The syrup will start hardening almost right away.
Working quickly, press the lollipop sticks into the hardening syrup. Make sure the sticks stay
right in the middle. You may have to adjust their positions a little while the syrup is hardening.
Your lollipops should be ready to unmold in about 8-10 minutes.
Rinse off the grease on the surface of the lollipops by running it under tap water. Do not
attempt to wipe off the grease with any kind of cloth or paper as it will just leave ugly lint on the
surface.
Wrap the candy in waxed paper.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 egg, beaten lightly
1 ½ cups milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
Sift together first three ingredients (to prevent lumps). In a separate bowl, mix egg and milk, then
add it to flour mix, stirring until just smooth. Then stir in butter. If you want to mix it up, throw
in blueberries, a tiny dice of apple, or bits of banana. Grease a griddle or nonstick pan with
cooking spray or a little vegetable oil. Heat pan on medium for about ten minutes. Pour batter to
form pancakes of whatever size you like. Cook first side until bubbles form on top, about three
minutes; then flip and cook other side until it, too, is brown, about two minutes. Serve
immediately with butter and syrup or hold briefly in warm oven. Serves four.
Drip, or filtered, coffee can be made in electric drip coffeepots or simply by placing a filter
holder over a pot or cup
Instructions:
1. Using an Electric Drip Coffeepot
6. Boil water, then let it rest for a few minutes to achieve the optimum temperature (195 to 205
degrees F).
7. Place a filter holder over a coffeepot or cup.
8. Place a filter in the holder.
9. Add 2 level tbsp. ground coffee per 6 oz. of water, or 2 oz. coffee per quart of water.
10. Pour a small amount of water - about 3 tbsp. - over the grounds to wet them.
11. Wait a few seconds for the grounds to expand.
12. Pour the rest of the water over the grounds. Let the water drip through the grounds, but be
sure to remove the grounds before the last of the water has drained into the pot or cup. Coffee
grounds can overextract and get a bitter taste.
Flying lanterns float into the sky when heated by an open flame in the same manner as a hot-air
balloon. Launched in China more then 2,000 years ago, the original flying lantern was
constructed from a bamboo hoop with thin sheets of paper attached to form a bag or cube. From
the opening at the bottom, hot air filled the lantern, fueled by a burning candle or a piece of
cloth soaked in oil. As the lanterns cooled, they dropped gently back to earth. Modern flying
lanterns are much like their predecessors -- only safer, thanks to the addition of flame retardant
to the paper. And, unlike the early days, instead of sending information to the army, many people
write messages or wishes on their lanterns before sending them skyward.
Instructions
1. Pin four sheets of tissue paper to the clothesline and spray with fireproofing product, avoiding
the corners where the pins are. Allow the paper to dry.
2. Glue each sheet of treated tissue paper to an untreated sheet, joining them lengthwise with a
thin layer of adhesive.
3. On craft paper, draw a pattern that resembles half of a mitten. Your completed lantern will
resemble a hot-air balloon when the four pieces are joined. Make four half-mitten pieces from
the craft paper and tape them together, with the flat portion open on the bottom, creating a
mock-up of your lantern and adjusting where necessary. When you are satisfied with the design,
remove the tape.
4. Using the craft pattern as a guide, cut the tissue paper, making four slightly curved pieces
with one straight edge. Glue the lantern pieces together, leaving the straight edge open, creating
the bottom of the lantern.
5. Make a bamboo hoop. Split the bamboo into thin strips, carefully moving a knife slowly down
the length of the pole. Test the strips for pliability by bending them slightly between your hands.
Once you find a pliable piece, sand it until it is smooth. Form a hoop with the bamboo strip and
secure the ends with glue.
6. Install a wire "X" onto the frame; secure in place with staples. Cover the cardboard square
with foil and secure it to the center of the "X" with tape, staples or glue.
7. Make a foil cup, large enough to hold the cotton ball. Tape this to the center of the pad.
8. Attach the tissue paper to the hoop at the open bottom with tape, staples or glue--remember, it
works like a hot-air balloon, so the foil cup should face the inside.
9. Take your lantern outside. Soak the cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and place the saturated
cotton in the foil cup. Light the cotton on fire and hold the lantern, allowing it to fill with warm
air. When the sides are hot and you can feel the lantern pulling away, release it.
Step-by-step
1. Cut the lemons in half and reserve one half. Use a citrus juicer to extract the juice and catch
the seeds. Place a wire sieve over a large bowl and pour the juice through as you go. Once
you’ve juiced all of the lemons, strain the juice into a jug, and once more back into the bowl.
2. Add the sugar to the lemon juice a cup at a time, stirring continuously to dissolve. The
bitterness level of lemons can vary, so you should taste the cordial as you go to achieve the
desired level of sweetness.
3. Cut the reserved lemon half into thin rounds, then cut each round into small segments. Rip the
mint leaves into small pieces.
4. Divide the cordial between jugs and/or bottles so that each one is approximately ¼ full. Add
enough water to fill vessels, allowing a little room in the jug for ice. Add lemon pieces and mint
to serve.
Steps:
1. Put water in a kettle and boil it. If you do not have a kettle, then put water in a pot and put it
on the stove. Or use an immersion heater and warm up the water in a separate heat-proof mug.
The easiest method is to use a microwave.
2. Take the instant coffee and put about one slightly rounded teaspoon (this may vary based upon
how strong one likes their coffee).
3. Pour just a teaspoon of the very hot (nearly boiling) water into the mug; only enough to
dampen the instant coffee. If you use sugar, put in your sugar granules. Now, with a metal spoon,
crush the slurry against the side of the mug.
4. Stir in the rest of the hot water.
5. Add fresh whole milk, fresh half-and-half, or non-dairy creamer to the coffee if desired.
Evaporated milk from a can (undiluted) may also be used.
6. Flavorings such as vanilla extract, cocoa powder, or ground cinnamon may be added at this
time. If the coffee has been modified, then stir thoroughly until the extra ingredients have been
dissolved.
HOW TO MAKE NUTELLA HOT CHOCOLATE
Ingredients:
Nutella
1 cup (240 mL) of milk
Any type of ingredient you like to put in hot chocolate (marshmallows, whipped cream,
cinnamons, etc..)
Things you’ll need (materials):
A saucepan
Spoon
A measuring cup
Whisk
Mug or cup
Steps:
1. Gather all ingredients and materials. Ingredients and materials are at the top.
2. Take out your saucepan. Pour about 1/4 cup of the milk into the saucepan. Then, add
about 2 spoonfuls of Nutella. If you like your hot chocolate sweet, then you may add some
more, and if you don't like it sweet, then you can use less. Put the stove on medium-low
heat.
3. Whisk the milk and Nutella together in the saucepan until it's blended.
4. Slowly pour the rest of the milk (3/4 cup) into the saucepan. Stir until it becomes hot &
frothy.
5. Turn off the stove. Carefully pour the mixture into a cup or mug.
6. You're done! You can add anything into the hot chocolate, such as marshmallows,
whipped cream, cinnamon, etc. Enjoy!
HOW TO MAKE SPAGETTI TACOS
Ingredients:
Taco Shells (The soft shells are easier to handle, but the hard shells also work if they are
handled properly.)
Marinara sauce (Basic tomato and herb pasta sauce) or bolognese sauce with meatballs
or sausages.
Prepared spaghetti (With desired choice of noodles, toppings, or sauce.)
Salt and pepper (For some extra flavor)
Other desired toppings. (Chopped green peppers, fresh parsley pieces, cheese, etc.)
Steps:
1. Prepare the spaghetti as desired. Choose which kind of noodles, toppings, and sauces
you want.
2. Strain the spaghetti and put it to one side. Allowing it to cool just a little is important to
ensure that it isn't too moist or warm for the taco.
3. Make the sauce and heat it up. The sauce shown in the image is "Make Spaghetti
Bolognese With a Twist" bolognese sauce. (note: If making your own sauce, reduce the
water ratio as much as possible in order to prevent it from being too runny)
4. Mix the sauce with the pasta. You'll want the spaghetti to soak up the flavor of the sauce,
so it's easiest if done in a small bowl for each serving. Doing it this way can ensure a
good consistency for each taco.(note: If necessary, you might consider straining meat
sauce through a strainer or cheesecloth before mixing with the spaghetti noodles. For
runny sauce this will help to cut down on the liquid.)
5. Spoon the prepared spaghetti into the taco shells. Use a high-sided pan to put them into
and keep them upright as you work through all of the tacos you're filling.
6. After filling the tacos, sprinkle on the prepared peppers or parsley to taste. Cheese is
another good topping. If you want to melt the cheese, place the filled taco shells into the
oven to crisp for 5 minutes, then remove and allow to cool for 1 minute prior to eating
1. Cut a long piece of string. Tie one end firmly around the neck of the bottle.
2.Tie the other end of the piece of string around the neck of the bottle to make a loop.
3. Pour cold water into the large glass jar until it is about three quarters full.
4. Fill the bottle with hot water. Add food colouring to turn the water bright red.
5.Hold the bottle by the loop of string. Lower it gently into the jar of cold water.
6. The hot red water rises from the bottle like smoke from an erupting volcano.

HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN TERIYAKI
Ingridients:
8 ounces of chicken breast
1/4 medium bunch of broccoli
1/4 large carrot
3 fl ounces of mirin
2 fl ounces of soy sauce
2 fl ounces of sake
White pepper
Salt
3 ounces of flour
Steps:
1. Cut the vegetables. Cut the broccoli and carrots into bite sized pieces. You can use different knife
angles to create different sizes of the pieces.
2. Coat the chicken. Use the salt and white pepper and sprinkle some of both on the chicken
breasts. Flour each chicken piece and coat them thoroughly.
3. Prepare the sauce. Mix the soy sauce and mirin together. If you want more, just be sure to have a
4 parts soy sauce to 6 parts mirin.
4. Place the vegetables in a pot of boiling water. Remove the broccoli first since the carrots tend to
cook longer.
5. Make the garlic oil. Use several unwrapped pieces and place it in a vegetable oiled skillet. Place
the skillet on low heat and remove the garlic pieces after a few minutes.
6. Cook the chicken for about 4 to 5 minutes on a medium heat. Flip the chicken pieces and fry for
another 2 minutes. When everything is cooked, carefullypour the sake into the skillet.
7. Reduce the sauce. Add the teriyaki sauce to the skillet. Achieve a thick and reduced sauce.
8. Serve. Add the vegetables first to the plate. Cut the chicken pieces into slices and then layer the
teriyaki sauce over the chicken.
Ingridients:
Glacé (crystallised or candied) cherries
6 oz. Chocolate
2 oz. Condensed milk
Sliver of Butter
o Note that amounts may vary depending on the size of your molds
Steps:
1. Place 4 ounces of chocolate in one bowl and 2 ounces in the other.
2. Melt the chocolate. Put the bowl with 4 ounces of chocolate in it in the microwave and
stir every 10 seconds. Once it is almost all melted, put it to one side.
3. Add to the other bowl the same amount of condensed milk, by weight, as there is
chocolate in that bowl (2 ounces in this example).
4. Add a small sliver of butter to the condensed milk and chocolate.
5. Microwave until the chocolate and butter are melted, stirring every 10 seconds.
6. Add a few drops of cherry liquor and mix well.
7. Coat the sides of the chocolate moulds with melted chocolate. A teaspoon or a knife will
work fine for this.
8. Chop the glacé cherries in half.
9. Push a fork through the flat side of one of the cherry halves and dip in the condensed
milk and chocolate mixture. Put the cherry into one of the chocolate moulds. Repeat for the rest
of the chocolates.
10. Fill the moulds to the top with melted chocolate and put in the fridge to set.
11. Remove the chocolates from the moulds once set.

coating and not too thin. If it is too thin, add more flour.
Then peel plantain or banana and cut in half lengthwise and then cut again with 4-inch width.
Dip into batter to coat generously.
Next heat oil in a wok or deep fryer until moderately hot. Place coated plantain or banana in the
wok or deep fryer and fry slowly until golden brown and crispy. This usually take approximately
10-15 minutes.
Finally move bananas from oil, drain on paper napkins and dry well.
Serve while still warm.
Sitting on the bike, make sure you know where the brakes are and how to operate them.
You have to learn to balance the bike. Find a person who can hold your bike behind you
and try to steady it as you pedal. Also find a place to ride that is grassy or such.
After practicing for a couple minutes, the person can release his or her hands while you
try to keep your balance.
When you are ready, ride alone. But first lower the seat until you can sit on it and put
both feet flat on the ground.
When you are confident you can put your feet on the pedals and coast for a few feet, try
not putting your feet down to train your sense of balance. Do this for 30-45 minutes or
so, until you have a good feel and some confidence about steering the bike.
As you gain experience, raise the seat up so that only your toes can touch the ground
while you are seated. This is the more appropriate height for your seat.
Once you can balance, pedal, start, and stop, you're a bicycle rider. Congratulations!

HOW TO MAKE AN ICE CREAM
Here are the instructions that you must follow to make ice cream
1. Setting up the cooling apparatus. Stir ice and salt in the larger container. Double-check
that the small container will fit into the larger one even with the ice.
2. Combine the ingredients. Mix together the milk, sugar, and vanilla in the glass bowl.
Then, set this bowl in the tub filled with ice and rock salt, making sure that the salt water
does not spill into the bowl. Instead of a glass bowl and tub, you can also use a small
coffee can inside a large coffee can.
3. Mix the ice cream. Mix the ingredients in the small container vigorously. The salty ice
mixture will cool the mixture down until it turns into ice cream. Mix very thoroughly. If
you're using a whisk instead of an electric mixer in your glass bowl, you'll have to stir
very hard, or ice crystals will form in the ice cream. If you are using the coffee can
method, make sure both cans are well sealed, and then roll and shake to mix the ice
cream mixture. It should take about 10 to 15 minutes to stir the ice cream using either
method. Stir until it is free from ice crystals and is the right consistency.
4. Storage and serving. If you don't eat the ice cream right away, be sure to store it in the
freezer so that it doesn't melt.
Ingredients
2 cups (470 ml) unbleached, all-purpose, pastry, or cake flour. You can substitute whole wheat
pastry flour up to half of this amount. Don't use bread flour for waffles.
1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt (optional)
2 teaspoons (10 ml) baking powder
2 tablespoons (30 ml) sugar
5 eggs, separate the yolks and the whites
1 1/2 cups milk (355 ml)
2 to 5 tablespoons (30 - 75 ml) of melted butter or oil. More oil will make crispier waffles. Less
oil will make them more cake-like.
1 to 2 teaspoons (5 - 10 ml) vanilla extract (optional)
Steps
1. Preheat the waffle iron. Plug it in and make sure it's turned on or turned up to a temperature,
according to how yours works. A good test of the temperature is to let a drop or two of water fall
on the plates of the waffle iron.
2. The drops should sizzle and dance for 2-3 seconds before vanishing. If the drops sit there for
much longer than that, the waffle iron isn't warm enough yet. If they vanish in less than a couple
seconds, the waffle iron may be too hot. Mix the dry ingredients.
3. MIX together all of the dry ingredients (flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder) into a medium-
large bowl. One way to do this is to add the salt, sugar, and baking powder to the flour as you
sift. Break the egg into a separatorand carefully pour the egg white into a bowl.
4. Separate the eggs. Egg separators, such as this one, hang onto the yolk while you pour off the
white. It's also possible to use half of the eggshell to do the same thing.
5. IT’S all right to leave a bit of the egg whites in with the yolk, but don't get any yolk in with the
egg white. The egg whites won't foam properly if there is even a little yolk in them.
6. Beat together the butter or oil and egg yolks in a separate bowl. When finished, add the milk.
7. Beat the egg whites until creamy in another separate bowl. Joy of Cooking describes the right
stage as "stiff, but not dry". [1] You can use a wire whisk, as shown here, or use an eggbeater if
you have one. Either way, the goal is to whip the eggs into a foam.
8. Add the yolk mixture.Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the egg yolk mixture.
9. Mix the wet with the dry. Stir the yolk mixture into the dry ingredients until everything is moist.
The batter may be a little lumpy, but don't leave dry spots or lumps that are too big. Make sure to
stir all the way to the bottom of the bowl
10. .I t's important not to over-mix batters that are based on baking soda. Unlike when baking a
yeasted bread, you don't want to develop the gluten in the flour.
11. Fold in the egg whites.
12. Gently fold in the egg whites and mix them with the batter until everything is a fairly even
consistency. Again, don't over-mix. Remember that folding is a very gentle, top-to-bottom sort of
stirring.
13. Allow the batter to sit for 5 minutes.
14. Brush with oil.
15. Brush oil on both the top and bottom plates of the waffle iron. Do this before each waffle, or it is
very likely that the waffles will stick.
16. Pour in the batter.
17. Pour or spoon 1/2 to 1 cup of batter onto the bottom plate, depending on your waffle iron. If
you're not sure, go a little under the amount you think you will need. Don't use too much.
18. The correct amount of batter may not go all the way to the edges, and it will puff up as it cooks.
o Close the lid onto the batter. Close the lid all the way onto the batter and wait for the waffle to
cook.
o Don't press. The lid will press down enough and the waffles will naturally puff a little.
o Allow about 2 minutes for the waffle to form.
o Watch the steam. It will stop or reduce greatly when the waffles are done.
o Listen and watch for the thermostat in your waffle iron to turn off and on. Sometimes having it
turn off is a cue that the waffles are done. Waffles get a lot less sticky once they're properly
cooked. If the waffle iron is hard to open and you oiled it properly, try giving it another minute.
o You'll get better at gauging the correct time and temperature for your waffle iron after you've
made a few waffles.
o Don't open the waffle iron if you can help it. Try to cook each waffle in one go. If you do open
the waffle iron on a waffle that's still a bit too pale, carefully close it again and let it go a bit
longer.
o The finished waffle.
Remove the waffle. A spatula can help you lift it without breaking the waffle or burning your
fingers. Maple syrup
Serve hot with butter and maple syrup. The real thing is best if you can find it.
Slice some strawberries
Slice some strawberries and mix sugar into them for a different topping. The right amount of
sugar will turn them a bright red. Beyond that point, sweeten to taste and let them set for at least
30 minutes. Refrigerate them if it will be longer than this or if you'd like them chilled. They'll
develop their own syrup. Try other fresh fruits the same way.
writing something for your business can be pretty intimidating. Well, you don't have to.
Here's a simple checklist to follow. I'm not saying that following these rules will make your
company the next Google, but it will help.
Firstly, take the topic of benefits, not features. Your customers don't care about you. They want
to know "What's in it for me?"
Secondly, write your benefit like you talk it. Use regular words. Read aloud what you've written.
How does it sound?
Thirdly, lose the weak words. Don't describe how your company may, might or should help
customers but talk about how your company will.
Fourthly, Use a nice rhythm. Some sentences are long and some are short. Mix them up and keep
things interesting.
Fifthly,re-read what you've done before publishing. Edit it necesarily. It's so easy to make
mistakes which you don't notice the first time through.

MAKING CANDLES
Making colored and scented candles is really quick and simple. What's more, you'll save so much
money. If making candle is easy, why do you ever bought one from a shop? What you need in
making candle are wax, moulds, wick, dye discs, essential oils, and a double boiler. All these
materials are available from craft shops. Or if you do not want to buy them, you can improvise with
an old saucepan, pyrex jug, or even a sturdy can, in a pot of water. After providing the materials,
follow this procedure or instruction in making candles!
First of all, melt the wax. All wax has a flash point, so to prevent it bursting into flames, you must
melt it in a double boiler, with water in the bottom pan.
Then, prepare the mould with the wick. Thread the wick through the mould and make sure that
you leave a good few centimeters sticking out of the hole in the bottom.
After that, add the scent. If you want a scented candle, add a few drops of essential oil to the
melted wax. You can use any essential oil you like, as long as it doesn't contain water.
Next step, pour the wax into the mould. Try and tip the wax into the mould quickly, all in one go,
to minimize spillage and air bubbles.
Then, release the bubbles and top it up. Releasing the air bubbles will eventually make the candle
sink, so you will need to top it up with more melted wax.
Finally, remove it from the mould. After four or five hours, the candle can be taken out of its
mould.
Your candle is now ready for display. Remember, you must always leave it for a day before lighting
it.

MAKING KITE
Having a kite flying is interesting and make it by self is easy. Prepare the following materials to make
a kite:
Butcher cord
Scotch tape or glue
1 Sheet of strong paper
2 Strong, straight wooden sticks of bamboo
Markers, paint or crayons
After the materials have been prepared, the directions bellow is easy instruction on how to make a
kite:
1. Make a cross with the two sticks, with the shorter stick placed horizontally across the longer stick.
2. Tie the two sticks together with the string in such a way as to make sure that they are at right
angles to each other.
3. Cut a notch at each end of the sticks. Make it deep enough for the type of string you are using to
fit in to. Cut a piece of string long enough to stretch all around the kite frame.
4. Lay the sail material flat and place the stick frame face down on top. Cut around it, leaving about
2-3cm for a margin. Fold these edges over and glue it down so that the material is tight.
5. Make a tail by tying a small ribbon roughly every 10cm along the length of string.
6. Decorate your kite with the markers!

PLANTING CHILIES
Planting is a nice activity in our spare time. The following is guided information on how to plant a
chili-plant easily. Here are the steps.
Firstly, dry a handful seeding under the sunlight
Secondly, put the seeding on the soil. It should be in open area
Next, wait it. There will come out the sprout after that let it be bigger.
Finally, put it in another big pot. It will soon grow bigger and bigger and yield us some fresh chilies
soon.
