"Congratulations!
Your project has been qualified for participation in the Anveshana 2018-Delhi-NCR.Please make sure you have a completed physical model that works, i.e.
demonstrates the concept that is intended and the children you propose to mentor receive the benefit of a lot of learning around the theme of the project.
Our screening committee that qualified your project has made a number of observations regarding the project proposals were received. One or more of
these observations may be true in your project. Please therefor read these very carefully and plan on improving your project before you finally display and
demonstrate the project.
1) The project proposals are not always clear about what exactly will be displayed.
3) It is not clear why it is a creative or original solution to a problem. Often the claims made of any originality are easily disprovable. For example many other
projects submitted have the same solution to the same problem. It is not necessary that the technology needs to be original. You can choose a technology
that is proven but decide to solve a problem in which it has been used before.
4) We encourage the participants to think of their solutions in the context of commercial viability. Very few proposals even indicate any intention of such
commercialisation. What are the costs? What kind of mfg. set up will be needed? What quality problems are expected? How will the units be tested etc etc.
5) Most importantly what can the project leaders teach the children when they participate? It is not important, nor even possible that the children can be
taught everything and every concept used in the project. But they have the opportunity to expand their knowledge or perspective. Project leaders need to
apply their mind about what is the best sustainable learning that they can impart to their school learner partners.
Please make sure you pay attention to the deficiency or deficiencies in your project
1) The project must meet more than passing standards on most aspects of its execution- a viable theme, working model, clear communication of objectives,
means and benefits etc.
