- GLA is the total area of an apartment excluding balconies and shafts.
- Balcony Area is the space of any balconies.
- GFA includes GLA plus common areas, facilities, amenities, and utility rooms. It excludes certain basement and underground areas.
- BUA is the GLA, balcony area, and common areas.
- Efficiency is the GLA divided by the BUA to measure space utilization.
