General Safety
LaserCap is safe when used as directed. LaserCap is a laser device. Please adhere to all Laser Safety warnings (p. 9). Charger is an electrical device. Please adhere to all Electrical Safety warnings (p. 5).

Charging
Plug Charger into wall outlet, indicator Indicator Light light on Charger should be RED. Turn PowerPack switch to off and connect Charger to PowerPack. Indicator light on Charger will turn to GREEN when PowerPack is fully charged. Charging may take several hours. Note: Use only the Charger provided.

How To Use

LaserCap

Verify PowerPack is fully charged (see p. 5). Disconnect the Charger from the PowerPack. Verify PowerPack switch is off. Use cable to connect PowerPack to LaserCap in a hat. Place hat with LaserCap on head. Turn PowerPack switch on. Observe the PowerPack indicator light blinking green. When use is completed, turn PowerPack switch off.

Using

LaserCap

(tips)

You may safely verify LaserCap operation by briey tipping your hat up slightly for one or two seconds while looking in the mirror to view the reection of the laser light off of your hair and scalp. Do not stare directly in to laser light. Please refer to p. 9 for Laser Safety. You may hear a faint clicking sound with each power pulse from the PowerPack; this occurs as the laser diodes within LaserCap are powered on. It is normal for the LaserCap and Charger to feel warm during use. LaserCap may be used with or without a hat, if desired. Battery Pack may be clipped to your belt or placed in your pocket so you may roam freely during use. After each use, turn PowerPack switch to off. LaserCap may then be stored (p. 12) and/or charged (p. 5). Keep PowerPack fully charged when LaserCap is not in use. Call 1-877-BAUMAN-9 toll free for usage tips or questions!

Laser Safety
LASER LIGHT CAN DAMAGE YOUR EYES. DO NOT STARE AT ANY LASER LIGHT. DO NOT STARE AT ANY LASER LIGHT THAT IS REFLECTED DIRECTLY FROM LASERCAP IN ANY WAY SUCH AS FROM A MIRROR OR OTHER REFLECTIVE SURFACE. DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE WITHIN VIEWING DISTANCE OF THE LASER LIGHT TO STARE AT IT AND NEVER SHINE THE LASER LIGHT IN ANYONES EYES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAGNIFY OR USE ANY OPTICAL INSTRUMENT OR DEVICE TO ALTER THE LASER LIGHT. ALWAYS KEEP LASERCAP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND MINORS.

Recommended Use

LaserCap should be used for 30 minutes, every other day. (See p.8 for dose calculations.) Note: Your board-certied Hair Restoration Physician may recommend a different regimen.

Maintenance
Before each use, inspect LaserCap PowerPack, Charger and cords for any visible damage. DO NOT use if LaserCap, PowerPack, Charger or cords are visibly damaged. LaserCap contains NO user-serviceable parts. Contact your authorized distributor for service or replacement instructions. Cleaning of LaserCap, PowerPack and Charger: If necessary, the inner surface of LaserCap may be cleaned with a moist cloth or alcohol wipe. If necessary, the outside of PowerPack/Charger or LaserCap may be wiped with a moist cloth. DO NOT submerge LaserCap or its components in water.

To repack for storage, travel or shipping: Unplug the LaserCap from PowerPack Unplug Charger from wall outlet Place PowerPack and Charger in bottom of the carrying case Place LaserCap in carrying case

Repair / Disposition
LaserCap is designed for years of hassle-free use. LaserCap and PowerPack do not contain any userserviceable parts. DO NOT attempt to open, repair or modify LaserCap or PowerPack. Any attempt to repair or modify LaserCap will void the manufacturers warranty. PowerPack contains rechargeable batteries. Please dispose of properly when it has reached the end of its usable life. Replacement parts and service are available. Contact your authorized distributor, Bauman Medical Group for details. Please refer to p. 19 for contact information.

Warranty / Returns
Warranty/Guarantee: LaserCap is guaranteed by the manufacturer to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 3 years from date of purchase from an authorized distributor. If LaserCap is determined to be defective, the manufacturer will repair or replace it at no charge during the warranty period. The Warranty does not cover damage caused by acts of God, misuse, negligence, accident, improper maintenance, connection to improper voltage supply as well as any modication or attempted repair by anyone other than the manufacturer. The Warranty does not cover LaserCap if purchased or obtained from anyone other than an authorized LaserCap distributor like Bauman Medical Group. Returns: LaserCap may be returned within 6 months of the date of purchase for any reason minus a 25% restocking fee. All returns must include Proof of Purchase and Registration (see p. 14). To obtain warranty service or return your LaserCap, you must rst notify your authorized distributor to receive further instructions (see p. 16). All service requests or returns require Proof of Purchase and Registration.

To activate your Warranty and receive important updates regarding LaserCap, including its use, replacement parts, service, upgrades, tips and techniques, end-user online Registration is required at www.lasercap.info. Have the following information ready when registering your LaserCap:

Problems / Troubleshooting
LaserCap is designed for years of hassle-free use and guaranteed by the manufacturer to be free of defects in workmanship and manufacturing for 12 months from date of purchase (see p. 12) when purchased through an authorized distributor. Please review the Operations Manual completely before use. For any operating problems or any discomfort during or after LaserCap use, please discontinue LaserCap use immediately, turn PowerPack switch to off, remove Charger from wall outlet and call 1-561-394-0024 or email [email protected] to report the problem and seek advice.
