    The Non -Governmental Organizations Co-ordination (Amendment)

    Regulations, 2010

    IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 32 of the Non-Governmental


    Organizations Co-ordination Act, 1990, The Minister of State for National
    Heritage and Culture makes the following Regulations:—

    THE NON -GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS CO-ORDINATION


    (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2010

    1. These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-


    ordination (Amendment) Regulations, 2010.

    2. The Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Regulations, 1992, in


    these Regulations referred to as “the principal Regulations” are amended in
    Regulation 24 by renumbering the existing provision as paragraph (1) and
    inserting the following new paragraph— L.N. 152/1992.

    (2) Any registered Non-Governmental Organization which fails to submit


    its annual returns within the prescribed period shall be liable to a fine of
    Kenya Shillings Twenty Five Thousand.

    3. The First Schedule of the principal Regulations is amended—

    (a) By deleting Form 3 and substituting therefore the new Form 3 set out
    in the Schedule;

    (b) In Form 5, by deleting the expression “Chairman” wherever it appears


    and substituting therefore the expression “Executive Director”;

    (c) In Form 6, by deleting the expression “Chairman of the Board” and


    substituting therefore the expression “Executive Director”;

    (d) In Form 9—
    (i) By deleting the expression “Chairman of the Non-Governmental
    Organizations Board” and substituting therefore the expression
    “Executive Director of the Non- Governmental Organizations Board”;

    (ii) By deleting the expression “Chairman of the Board” and substituting


    therefore the expression “Executive Director”;

    (e) In Form 10 by deleting the expression “Chairman” wherever it


    appears and substituting therefore the expression “Executive Director”;

    (f) In Form 11, by deleting the expression “Chairman” wherever it


    appears and substituting therefore the expression “Executive Director”;

    (g) In Form 12 by deleting the expression “Chairman” wherever it


    appears and substituting therefore the expression “Executive Director”;

    (h) By deleting Form 14 and substituting therefore the new Form 14 set
    out in the Schedule.

    4. The Third Schedule of the principal Regulations is amended in item 10 by


    deleting the expression “2,000” and substituting therefore the expression
    “16,000”.
