The Marlin Chaser
The Marlin Chaser is a completely renewed and updated luxury
catamaran. With two brand new Suzuki 300 motors, as well as the newest
state-of-the-art fish finding equipment, Deep Sea Fishing is at its best
aboard this 31 ft. U.S. Coast Guard Certified catamaran. With A 14 ft.
beam, depth finder, top-of-the- line fishing gear, fly bridge, fishing chair
and a highly experienced captain and first mate we will give you an
encounter unlike any other.
This Catamaran can hold up to 8 people for a unique fishing experience

and up to 20 people for local excursions and diving.
The Marlin Chaser is the only Cat that will not only meet, but exceed your
expectations throughout any experience related but not limited to: Deep
Sea Fishing/Silver Banks/ Diving/ Excursions.

The Crew
The Marlin Chaser’s Crew with over 15 years of fishing experience in the
Caribbean is not only prepared to provide the best service or experience
but also have the training and capabilities to keep our guests safe under
any circumstances while sailing the Atlantic Ocean. Captain: José
Vásquez “Picotin”
José is a very dedicated Captain, not only for the Marlin Chaser, but
for the regiom too. Jose has been at service for more than 20 years in
Rio San Juan and 4 years in Bávaro, Punta Cana. First Mate: Alan
Alonzo
Alan, as a first mate, with fishing/sailing experience for more than 15 years
in the area, will make sure that when a Marlin bites your hooked fishermen.
Passionate about his lifestyle, Alan will go above and beyond to ensure that
the fishing trips will go top notch while he’s aboard.

Location
Rio San Juan

Río San Juan is a municipality in the province of María Trinidad
Sánchez, located on the north coast about sixty kilometers east of Cabarete
and fifty kilometers northwest of Nagua, it is only an hour's drive from
Puerto Plata.
Rio, isa city of 15,000 inhabitants which secs tourism but has retained all
its charm. Rio San Juan is one of the most pleasant villages in the country.
The wooden houses are painted in flamboyant colors and the pueblo
warmly welcomes all visitors.
Rio San Juan knows seduce all nature lovers may rewrite. The beaches are
beautiful, pristine and a short a drive away, ___________ . Surf
enthusiasts prefer Playa Grande, a large sandy beach, world famous for its
waves. The French-speaking community in this area consists of 150 to
200 people living within a few years or months of each year.

Sports fishing
Here at the Marlin Chaser, we take fishing seriously, especially when

we talk about the Marlin. We have the latest sport technology possible
available which helps us to provide the best fishing experience.
Our guests won’t have to stand up fish while on the Marlin Chaser,
they will be able to sit on our 360˚ Chair prepared for any kind of
Marine life who dares to bite on of our lurers.
Guests will be able to look into our Fish-finder-GPS System and

spot fish before it’s even on our hook! This will be thanks to our
new translucer placed on the stern of the boat allowing us to
vertically and horizontally spot anything that breaths and moves!

Whale Watching
One of the most interesting excursions in the Dominican Republic is the
visit to The Sanctuary of Humpback Whales in the Bay of Samaná and the
Silver Bank, Located on the Northwest side of the country, every year
between year, between December and April, more than 3,000 humpback
whales come to reproduce in the warm waters of the coasts of the Atlantic
Ocean. Since 1986 Silver Bank has become a sanctuary for the protection
of whales.
Come explore this amazing spectacle which is repeated every summer in

the Bay of Samaná: these observe humpback whales that come to the
Caribbean Sea from the seas of Iceland, Greenland, Canada, and North
America, to give birth and seek a mate in the hot water.
The show is impressive, when 40-ton males jump out at the water and fall
down a few meters ahead. If they do not get reactions from any females,
the male will at ____ to attract them with a long and monotonous song
that the whales can hear up to a radius of 30 kilometers. If submerged you
can hear this song. After giving birth to their children, whales prepare for
their return to the North.
