A Narrative Report about Brigada Eskwela

DAY 6

They say Cleanliness is next to Godliness, the last day of Brigada Eskwela was
done on May 23, 2015. The task was not simple, first the school officials, PTA, parents and
pupils have to scout for other volunteer and donors of materials needed and labor support
for the activity. So instead of enjoying the vacation, teachers along with the pupils and
other volunteers have come to school fuelled by the spirit of volunteerism and unity, fix
whatever is there to fix, clean whatever is there to clean in the school to be comfortable and
inspired in another school year of learning.

We, parents, pupils and teachers, help each other to maintain the cleanliness in the
school for the upcoming school year. Among the activities are repainting of the classrooms,
ceilings, doors, windows, repair of desks, armchairs and cabinets. Cleaning of the school
surroundings were assigned to some people who found true enjoyment in doing their tasks.
All the members of the brigade worked tirelessly for one week. They did all that and
more with an enviable spirit of camaraderie. Some of them are laughing while sweeping
and scrubbing the floor and wiping the windows. The pupils are excited because they will
enter to their classroom that is well-ventilated and clean. Since it is the last day of the
activity everyone has doing their part and assigned tasks. The assigned volunteers who
were the parents, pupils, teachers, PTA, and barangay officials were having teamwork and
coordination in order to finish the activity easily. Everyone had fun and enjoyed because
they are finally near to end. We can see that our hard work really paid off.

Every day, there were accomplishments and that was a great relief for all the school
personnel to see the school getting ready for June 1. After a week long and a few days more
of preparation, the school was set ready for another school year. But surely, theres
something more, teachers have to get themselves ready to fire up and inspire another
batch of students after Brigada Eskwela. Generally, the school is now ready for the school
opening.
