STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
As part of my endeavor to pursue higher studies, I am presenting the statement of

purpose. I Mr. Amol D. Kasar finished Bachelor In Computer Application at TMU, Pune.
I want to start off my new phase of life with the mixed feelings of joy at having privilege
of being a part of the very best in the world. The process of learning continues
throughout once life says an old adage. As one goes on learning new things, one
realizes that there are many more things which one needs to learn to quench one's
thirst for knowledge.
Science as a subject has always fascinated me, right from school days, when it
answered many questions that grilled my mind. This helped me to develop logical
thinking and reasoning abilities and ultimately a strong liking and a sound and profound
ground for Advanced Computer Science.
In India getting enrolled into a technical course is through a rigorous entrance test. My
performance in the test provided me with privilege of choice. I secured admission in to
the Bachelor In Computer Application in the prestigious TMU, Pune.
Research would be of prime importance in this highly innovative field with hands on
experience in real time applications accompanied by in-depth knowledge of the subject.
In this essay I outlined my academic and extracurricular accomplishments and also
discussed about my career objectives and the motivation to pursue the master study
program in Computer Science.
The graduate curriculum in Computer Application, introduced me to a wide gamut of

subjects, both in and outside the field. Various courses like Network Analysis, Analog
Electronics, and Microprocessor, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, Artificial
Intelligence have provided me with a strong footing in the theoretical concepts of
Software Engineering.
In the first three years of under graduation curriculum under the guidance of some truly
excellent professor, I was able to get a strong grounding in subjects like Computer
Network, Modeling and Network, Systems Programming, Engineering Mathematics
In my final year dissertation, I have worked on the development for software on BLOOD
BANK SYSTEM. I decided to choose this project as to share our IT knowledge and to
gain knowledge. We developed this software for thyrocare blood services. The said
organization is associated with BLOOD and BLOOD related product.
The structure and working is as follows
 Its main function is to collect all type of blood as well as serve as pathological
lab.
 It works 24 hours of the day, Seven Days of week having day & night service.
 Its clients include various hospitals as well as individual people.
Following were the limitation of the older system
 It was not providing any search capabilities.

 Calculation of the stock was miscalculated.
 No substitute information was provided.
 Expiration of products automatically.
We decided to use Visual basic 6.0 as the front end of our project and Microsoft access
as the backend. Both of systems are used as we know the capabilities of languages as
well as there limitation. We created following module in our application.
1. Camp Details
2. Doctor Details
3. Blood Donor Details
4. Stock Details
5. Order Details
6. Available stock
7. Recipient Bloods
8. Blood Details.
Following are the advantages of the Implemented system over old system
 The system is more secure.
 System has search capacity.
 Operations are less time consuming
.
 It has now better storing capacity.
 Stock Details are updated automatically.
Thus during my designing of project we faced many difficulties and various challenges
in coding but as it was team work we overcome those difficulties. I also learn about
meeting people in organization talk with them get there idea and implement in the
software system.
I have always aspired to choose a career that would really hold a natural appeal for me.
Throughout my school and undergraduate education, I have been a keen participant in
extra-curricular activities. Getting elected as the School Pupil Leader helped me hone
my organizational and interpersonal skills. At my graduation level, I have been involved

in the Annual cultural Fest as Head of the Control Tent Team.
Why your University an extremely distinguished faculty, a milieu replete with academic
activity and excellent facilities for research in my fields of interest are the upmost
important factors that motivated me to choose YOUR UNIVERSITY for my postgraduate
Studies. Lack of in-depth knowledge of the subject leaves the best of conceptual skills
incomplete. It is in this context that I would like to pursue a course that not only
supplements the knowledge that I posses but also provides a strong foundation to my
research oriented study.
Your university provides the kind of exposure needed to broaden my thinking and undo
my insular prejudices that might be still prevalent in me. In a university of such
confluence of people from every culture, nationality, religion and ideology, I am sure that
exposure to these kinds of diverse influences would aid in the overall development of
my personality. I also believe that I have better chances of updating and scaling up my
knowledge in your University. And hence I request you to consider my application for
the postgraduate study in Computer Science, which would enable me to
Pursue my higher education.
I am sure that I possess the qualities of working hard and being perseverant in addition
to intellectual ability and rive that are needed to do justice to study at your university. I
believe the program offered will help me acquire the versatility needed to reach my full
potential as an engineer. I am confident that I will match the high standards set by your
university. I think this opportunity given to express myself and if given the chance, I shall
prove worthy of every encouragement given by you.
