Consider the resistive circuit shown in the following figure.

b) Using the result obtained in (a), compute the dissipated power in a 30 resistor connected to terminals
A-B. (5 points)

a) Compute the RMS value and phase angle of current Is et voltages VR, VL and VC. (12 points)
b) Draw a vector diagram to show the relationships between Vs, Is, VR, VL and VC. (5 points)
Note: In this vector diagram, two scales can be used, one for voltages and another for currents.

The nameplate of a transformer indicates: 2400 V/600 V, 60 Hz, 50 kVA.

The transformer primary is connected to a voltage source Vs having an RMS value of 2400 V. The fre-
quency of source Vs is equal to 60 Hz. The phase angle of Vs is 0 degree.
A 10 load resistor is connected to the transformer secondary.
a) Compute voltage V2 and current I2 on the secondary of T1. (9 points)
Compute current I1 on the primary of T1. (3 points)
b) Compute the active power in the load. (3 points)
Compute the active power delivered by the source. (2 points)
