Eid Milad un Nabi Meaning
& Importance in Islam
When we talk about our Islamic festivals we know about Eid ul
Fitr, Eid al Adha and Eid Milad un Nabi which we called Mawlid
in Arabic. 12 Rabi ul Awwal is the 3rd month of the Islamic lunar
calendar. It comes after Safar. It is a day when our Prophet
(SAW) came to the world. In this article, I am posting about the
Mawlid ul Nabi importance in Islam.

1- Eid Milad un Nabi

The first meaning is that the birth of the Prophet and His
(PBUH) virtue should be mentioned and describe the praise of
the Prophet (SAW) Alone or collectively.
The second type is Mehfil-e-Milad in which regular meetings
are organized also the recitation of Naats, the Birth discussion
is done. Food arrangement is done and feels happy at the
arrival of the prophet.
The order of both cases is separate. In 1st type celebration of
Milad is Sunnah of Sahaba Qaraam, Ambiya Karam and
democratic people. In the 2nd case, Milad Mahafil started by
Sultan Salahudeen Ayubis brother in law in 6 Hijri and the king
of Irbil Sultan Muzafrudeen Abu Saeed in 630 Hijri.
The reason behind it that saying Eid Milad un Nabi to Prophet
(SAW) birthday because this day is very great and important for
Muslims and if a day will bring happiness in Muslims lives they
consider it Eid day.

2- Eid Milad un-Nabi Festival

Eid Milad un Nabi 2017 is coming in the last week of November.

The second day of Milad is Friday Mubarak. When Milad
Mubarak day comes the Muslims of all countries celebrates this
day with their deep feelings. On the day of Mawlid people held
different programs. Eid Milad un Nabi naats reciting, Rabi ul
Awal speech, Mahafils are also a part of this great day. People
also cook food and share with each other. On this day the sky is
raised with the voices of Labaik Ya Rasool Allah. People send
Milad un Nabi images, Eid Milad un Nabi Sms, Milad un Nabi
greetings, Eid wishes and 12 Rabi ul Awwal poetry to each other
and celebrate the day with their loved ones. Happiness prevails
on every Muslims face.
Lets see how Imams celebrated this day in their life.
Imam Zehbi testimonials the mentioned king in his book (Seer
Alaam Alnablaai) that he was a great charity donor and
hospitable. Imam Zehbi says that This Kings faith was heartfelt
and merciful. Imam Zehbi says that Shah Muzaffar spends 3
lakh deenar every year on Eid Milad un-Nabi which, according
to current currency about 20 billion is made. Similarly, another
personality (Allama Ibne Qaseer) has also described the
mentioned Kings testimony and faith in Islam and writes that
mentioned king arranged Jashne Eid MiladunNabi mehfil with
great animation.
Allah Says,
Ae Habib..! Say that Muslims should celebrate on Allahs
blessings and His mercy
This Ayat orders us that when we bless with Allahs blessings
and mercy, we should celebrate and pray to God.
In Quran Pak,
Allah says, If you will be thankful for my blessings Ill raise
them. And remember that blessing of Allah upon you when you
were an enemy of each other and Allah raise love in your heart
and you became brothers because of Allah blessings. It is the
great blessing of Allah that Allah attached the broken hearts.
Made every one brother of each other. Turned their hate into
love. But think that the source of this blessing is our Prophet
(SAW).

3- Eid Milad un-Nabi Benefits

The charity is given with pleasure, due to the happiness of this

Holy day, which has benefited for poverty. Milad Mahafils are
organized that shows the lovers of the Prophet. Thus, people
thanks to Allah, for the greatest blessing and in the heart of the
Ehl-e-Mehfil, the Prophet virtue becomes strong.
And We sent the Prophet as a mercy for all the worlds
It is clear from the verse that the Prophet is mercy for all the
worlds.
An incident of Hazrat Jabir Bin Abdullah
Hazrat Jabir Bin Abdullah said, Ae Prophet (SAW) my parents
die for you please tell me what was the 1st thing that Allah
made? He (SAW) said Ae Jabir indeed before all the creatures
Allah create your Prophet (SAW) Noor with His (ALLAH) Noor
before all the creatures.
The Benefits of Mohammads Name
There was a man in Bani Israel. He disrespects Allahs orders for
hundred years. When he died people throw him in bad & smelly
place. Allah revealed to Moosa (R.A) that lift that person from
that smelly place and offer his death prayer.
Hazrat Mosa (R.A) said, Bani Israel are saying that this man
disrespect your orders for hundred years
So Allah said, Ae Moosa (R.A) it is true, but whenever he opens
Torat and see the word Mohammad and hug this word with
huge respect. Thats why I forgive all his sins
The Noor of The Prophet (SAW) Face
Hazrat Haleema (R.A) says, From the day we brought
Muhammad (SAW) home, we did not need the lamp because
the light of His (SAW) face was more than the light of the lamp.
When we needed a lamp in a house, then we would take
Muhammad (SAW) theirs. So with their blessings, the house
would be filled with light

4- Eid Milad un Nabi Celebrations

You should tell that celebrations of Milad are necessary to give

thanks to Allah for His mercy and blessings. The prophet (SAW)
is the mercy and blessings of Allah. The Mehfil of Milad is the
happiness of mercy and blessings
The night of Milad Sharif is greater than all other nights, then
Laila tul Qadr then Lailat ul Miraj then the night of Arfa then
the night of Jumma then Shabe Qadar then the night of Eid.
And the day of Arfa is greater than all other days means the 9th
day of Zulhijjah then the day of 15th Shaban then the day of
Jumma and the night is better than a day.
In the month of the Prophets birthday, Islamists always hold
the Mehfils. Cooking food with pleasure and organizing the
invitations. In these nights they charity different kinds of things.
In Good deeds, they have always been participating and
arranging the Prophets (SAW) Milad. From the blessings, the
blessing of God has appeared to them.
Basically, Eid Milad un Nabi is a message of peace, love, respect
and especially it is the greatest blessing of Allah that He sent
His Messenger on earth. Without Him (SAW) well never know
the meaning of our lives. He (SAW) taught us how to implore to
Allah, how to obey Allahs orders, what Allah want from us, why
Allah created us? what is the right path?
At the end, I want to say that we should celebrate this Holy day
with peace and love. Pray to Allah that He forgives our sins and
show us the right path Ameen.
