1. The world of bull fighting has always been a keypart of Lamborghinis
Identity.
2. The logo has been derived from Feruccio Lamborghinis love for bull
fights. For Example , Gallardo is named after a famous breed of
fighting bull.

3. Most of the models have been named after famous stud bulls.
4. The name stands for reliability, technically excellence and quality.

I.2 Founder
Feruccio was born on April 28, 1916. He is also the founder of the Italian car
company Lamborghini he lives in the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern
Italy. on May 2 young Lamborghini was interested in farm machinery instead
of his own farming lifestyle, and he studied engineering at Fratelli Taddia.
Lamborghini opened a workshop in Pieve in the city of Cento, Many people say
that, Ferrucio Lamborghini desperate to make the car out of annoyance with
Ferrari founder, Enzo Ferrari. Not upset for not being able to compete with
Ferrari. Precisely Ferrucio was originally a collector of Ferrari cars. Once in
1958 Ferruccio bought a Ferrari 250 GT. Unfortunately according to Ferrari
250 GTO engine is too noisy especially in the gearbox nya which is a problem
for him. He immediately reported the problem directly to Enzo.

Unfortunately, Enzo just refused to meet with Ferrucio. Dino Ferrari's


father even told Ferrucio to walk if he did not like his car. Disappointed with
the arrogant response, Ferrucio was moved to make the car. In his mind, he
wants Enzo to know this is how to make the right super car.

I.3 About the Company

Automobili-Lamborghini S.p.A., often called Lamborghini is a car maker in


Italy. The company was founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963, with the
aim of producing a grand tour car that can compete with existing cars in the
market first such as Ferrari.
I.4 Company History

Lamborghini name derived from the name of its founder is Ferruccio


Lamborghini who was born in Italy in 1916, Ferrucio has a zodiac Taurus
because of the logo of Lamborghini Bull. He was very interested in machines
from an early age. The company was founded by Ferrucio Lamborghini in
1963, with the aim of producing a grand car tour that could compete with
the deals Formed from Marques such as Ferrari. The first company model
launched in the mid 1960s, and announcements for improvement, strength,
and comfort. Lamborghini got a lot of praise in 1966. After decades, hard
times hit companies in the mid-1970s, as sales plummeted because of the

and three changes, Lamborghini became a subsidiary of Chrysler in 1987.

Lamborghini's lack of success continued into the 1990s, until the company
was sold in 1998 to Audi, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, a German
Automotive Company . Audi's early aging ownership of a period of stability
and increased productivity for Lamborghini, with sales increasing nearly
tenfold during the 2000s, culminated in record sales in 2007 and 2008. The
monetary crisis in the late 2000s was a negative impact on luxury car
makers in Worldwide, and see Lamborghini sales return to pre-2006 levels.
II. The Company Organization
II.1 President

Stephan Winkelmann (born 18 October 1964) is an automotive executive who


served as President and CEO of Italian sports car manufacturer Automobili
Lamborghini for the past decade. Since March 15, 2016, Winkelmann is the
CEO of Audi Sport

In 1991, he started his professional career at the German financial


institution MLP. In the following years, he focused his interests on the
automotive industry, working first for Mercedes-Benz and then for Fiat
Auto from 1994 to 2004 in marketing and sales, both in Italy and abroad. He
was then appointed as CEO of Fiat Auto Austria, Switzerland and lastly Fiat
Auto Germany.

On 1 January 2005, Stephan Winkelmann was appointed President and CEO


of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. in SantAgata Bolognese (Italy) In early
2016 he left Lamborghini to join Audi's Quattro division.

II.2 Chief Executive Officer

Stefano Domenicali (born 11 May 1965) is an Italian manager and CEO of


Italian sports car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.. From 2008
to 2014 he was the team principal of the Ferrari Formula One team.

Domenicali studied business administration at Bologna University, graduating


in 1991. Upon graduation he joined Ferrari where he worked in the finance
department. Between 1992 and 1994, he was race director at Mugello and
was involved in MotoGP, DTM and other racing series. In 1995 he was
appointed head of personnel in Ferrari's sporting department and was
involved with sponsorship liaison, before being promoted to Team Manager in
December 1996.
He remained there until January 2001. After a brief stint as Logistics
Manager, he became the team's Sporting Director in 2002. On November 12,
2007 Ferrari announced Domenicali would take on the role of Director of
the Ferrari Formula One team, a position previously held by Jean Todt, and
became team principal in 2008. Under his leadership, Ferrari won the 2008
Constructors' Championship, before enduring a less competitive 2009 season
in which the team won only a single race. In 2010, the team won five races
and finished third in the Constructors' Championship, behind Red Bull
Racing and McLaren. Domenicali led the team into 2011, which saw Alonso
finish fourth in the championship table, two places ahead of Massa in sixth.
Then came the 2012 season, which saw Fernando Alonso just missing out on
the title, despite having a largely uncompetitive car. He and Ferrari claimed
three Grand Prix victories and placed second in both the Drivers' and
Constructors' Championships. He was named one of "The Men of the Year
2012" by Top Gear magazine for keeping Ferrari at sharp end of F1, against
the odds Domenicali resigned as Ferrari team principal in April 2014.
In October 2014, Domenicali was hired by Audi. He was also appointed as
head of the FIA's Single-Seater Commission. On 15 March 2016 he was
appointed CEO at Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., succeeding Stephan
Winkelmann.
II.3 Technical Director
Giampaolo Dallara was born on November 16, 1936, in Varano de' Melegari,
near Parma. He studied Aeronautical Engineering at Milans Politecnico
University, graduating in 1959. He joined Automobili Lamborghini in 1963 as
Technical Director, remaining until 1969: these were the years of the 350
GT, the Miura and the Espada. Together with Stanzani and Gandini, he has
always been considered one of the fathers of the Miura from the point of
view of its technical development.

II.4 Engine Designer

Giotto Bizzarrini (6 June 1926 in Quercianella, Livorno Province, Italy) is an


Italian automobile engineer active from the 1950s through the 1970s.
Bizzarrini was chief engineer at Ferrari in the 1950s, working on such
notable projects as the Ferrari 250 GTO. He split from the company in a
major upheaval in 1961, worked first with ATS, and then in 1962 started his
own company, Societ Autostar, whose name was changed to Bizzarrini in
1964. In addition to producing the exotic Bizzarrini 5300 GT, Bizzarini also
worked for other makers including Iso, Lamborghini, and Alfa Romeo.
Several concept cars in the 2000s bear his name.
Ferruccio Lamborghini commissioned Societ Autostar to design an engine
for his automaking firm, Lamborghini's, new GT cars. The Lamborghini
V12 was first shown in the 350GTV prototype in 1963 and was first
manufactured for use in the 350GT in 1964. Variations of the basic design
were used in every V-12 Lamborghini until 2010. Originally displacing
3,464 cc (211 cu in) in the 350GT, it had been increased in displacement to
6,496 cc (396 cu in) in the final version of the Murcilago.

II.5 Test Driver

Valentino Balboni (born 13 May 1949) is the former chief test driver of
Lamborghini, a manufacturer of sports cars in Italy. He retired in October
2008 due to Italian government work regulations, after having served the
company for 40 years. To pay tribute to him in occasion of his retirement,
Lamborghini had labeled a 2009 addition to the Gallardo line-up, the LP550-2
Valentino Balboni.

Balboni started working for Lamborghini on 21 April 1968, as a mechanic


apprentice in the company. Eventually he was personally asked by the
founder of the company, Ferruccio Lamborghini, to test-drive the newly built
cars alongside Bob Wallace. Valentino Balboni has reportedly driven about
80% of all Lamborghinis ever built. Among the marque aficionados, Balboni
has risen to cult status. In 2008, Balboni was still active for the company as
the chief test-driver and ambassador. Fluent in English and German, he
often appeared at different Lamborghini-related events, such as the
unveiling of new models.

In July 2009, Lamborghini announced a special edition run of 250 Gallardo


LP550-2 "Valentino Balboni edition" supercars; the company stated that the
new car was to be rear-wheel driven in accordance with Balboni's preference
for the thrill of cornering a rear-wheel driven vehicle. These vehicles were
also made special with a white and gold stripe that runs the center of the
car, inspired by sports cars of the 1970s.

Balboni, even though officially retired as chief test driver, has signed a two-
year contract with Lamborghini as a consultant through 2010 that can be
renewed multiple times
