KUANTAN, 29 May 2017 - A National Service trainee at the Pinggiran Pelangi camp in
Muadzam Shah, about 110 km south, has died.
Muhammad Damiri Norhamidis body was found motionless on the bathroom floor
at the hostel yesterday by a fellow trainee.
Muhammad Damiri, 18, from Kerdau near Temerloh, died without regaining
consciousness. The cause of his death has yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, Norhamidi Bakar, 56, said he was informed of his sons death by a camp
official. He said that he last saw his son last month when Muhammad Damiri, the eldest of
three siblings, was preparing for the camp.
He was his usual self he said.
