POLY-FLUX
 POLY-FLUX FITTINGS

A compact brass compression fitting designed to speed any

installation. Body, knurled nut and sleeve are furnished pre-
assembled, ready for installation. An exclusive Acetal copolymer
sleeve (Celcon) holds plastic tubing where it belongs, even when
the system pressure exceeds the tubing burst point.
Poly-Flux sleeves have superior resilience to resist creeping and
stress caused from compression. Poly-Flux knurled nuts will rotate
around the sleeve as it tightens to prevent twisting and weakening of
the plastic tubing.
Poly-Flux fittings can be disassembled and reassembled repeatedly
over times for routine maintenance. Brass sleeves should be used in
all applications that make use of soft metal tubing.
Poly-Flux fittings are well suited for pneumatic instrumentation circuits, low pressure oil and air lines, and applications
with liquids and gases.

MATERIALS

Tees and Elbows: brass forgings UNS 37700 ASTM B-124 (SAE CA377).
Connectors, unions, nuts and sleeves: stress relieved brass bar stock UNS 36000 ASTM B-16 (SAE CA360).
Plastic sleeves: Acetal Copolymer (Celcon)

MAXIMUM WORKING PRESSURE

Soft metal tubing: Up to 500 psi.

Thermoplastic tubing: determined by tubing.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Polyethylene, polypropylene, and vinyl tubing

1. Cut tubing squarely. Maximum of 15 angle allowable.

2. Check that port or mating part is clean and free of debris.
3. Insert the tubing until the tubing end bottoms out in the fitting and tighten the knurled nut until it is finger tight on
the fitting body. Using a wrench, tighten the nut another one full turn past the finger-tight position.

2. Copper and nylon tubing

Brass sleeves are recommended. Insert tube until it bottoms in the Poly-Flux fitting and tighten one wrench turn past
finger-tight.

3. Maximum allowable metal tube wall thickness for use with Poly-Flux fittings:

SELF-SEALING

Pre-applied Teflon based pipe sealant on all conical male pipe threads saves assembly
time, as well as installation labor.
