Details of Common Entrance Test for

Non GATE / Non GPAT candidates for admission to


M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm for the year 2014-15

Schedule of Common Entrance Test - 2014

The Common Entrance Test (PGCET-2014) for admission to Post Graduate


Engineering courses will be conducted at L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad
and/or any other centers (will be notified on admission committees website). For
admission to Post Graduate Pharmacy Courses it will be conducted at L. M. College
of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad and L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad and/or
any other centers (will be notified on admission committees website).

The dates of Common Entrance Test (PGCET-2014) are 26-7-14 and 27-7-14, the
discipline wise schedule shall be notified shortly on the committees website.

Rules for Common Entrance Test.


1. The candidate may appear for more than one test/Discipline for seeking admission in
to various disciplines as per the eligibility criteria shown in Appendix I of admission
Rules, 2013. However, for each test/discipline, a candidate has to apply and appear
separately.
2. The candidate shall have to bring Registration Acknowledgement slip Cum Hall
Ticket for PGCET 2014 issued by Help centre of Admission committee and a Photo
identity proof at the time of test else he shall not be allowed to appear in the test.
3. No separate call letter shall be issued for appearing in test (PGCET-2014). The
candidates shall have to remain present at his own cost.
4. The Examination number for PGCET 2014 is same as the User I. D. / Registration
number allotted to you by this committee. If there is change in the examination
Number, the same shall be notified on the Admission Committee Website one day
before the PGCET 2014 schedule date.
5. The test will be consisting of a single paper of 100 multiple choice objective type
questions (Four options with single correct answer) in English. It would carry one
mark for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking system in the test.
6. The maximum time allotted shall be 90 minutes for PGCET-2014 (Engineering/
Technology) and 100 minutes for PGCET-2014 (Pharmacy).

7. All objective type questions are required to be answered on OMR/answer sheets.
8. The candidate shall have to bring Black ball point pen to fill the OMR answer sheet.
9. More than one answer indicated against a question shall be deemed as incorrect. Any
over-writing or cancellation on OMR/Answer sheets shall be deemed as incorrect
response.
10. The PGCET 2014 for Engineering will cover the entire syllabus in the discipline
concerned with 20% weightage for Mathematics. The syllabus for each discipline is
available on the committees website www.jacpcldce.ac.in
11. The PGCET 2014 for Pharmacy will cover the entire syllabus as shown in syllabus.
12. Candidate shall not be allowed to leave the block before the completion of test
duration.
