The document outlines the history and various versions of an energy calculator along with descriptions of the changes made in each version. It also provides information on how to use the calculator to calculate energy performance for green building rating schemes.

Version details and change descriptions are provided for 11 different versions of the calculator on pages 1-2, with changes including minor computation adjustments, updated scoring approaches, and bug fixes.

As described on page 4, the main functions of the calculator are to automatically generate points for a green building rating scheme by recognizing efficiency strategies and using notional baselines to calculate demonstrated savings versus a simplified baseline building.

this calculator:
Main functions of this calculator:
- Demonstrated savings vs a simplified Notional Building* 1
- Streamlined vs 4.1. Single spreadsheet calculator
- Recognises efficiency and energy reduction strategies
- Notional baselines to incorporate AC total system efficiencies, non AC common areas etc.
- Separates building savings, car park savings and receptacle savings

Note:

For air distribution systems with high pressure drops due to the functional requirements of the system and running at the
maximum design flowrate of the individual fan, BCA will permit a fan power pressure drop adjustment based on case-by-
case basis. The baseline of total system efficiency (kW/RT) will be adjusted accordingly for compliance. The adjustment
kWadj calculation will have to be substantiate with supporitng documentations and calculations out of this calculator for
checking. Refer to "Notes for kWadj" tab for table & notes.

purposes COP of 1 1 of heat Pump" -

Energy Input required from

baseline water heater= - kWh/yr
No of days/year of operation = days

Annual energy Savings from

using heat pumps for hot water Note: Piping heat loss is neglected for sake of simplicity ; If there is re-circulation pump, the power should be accounted for under the "service
heating = 0.00 kWh/yr Equipment" tab.

ENERGY EFFICIENT FEATURES

ENERGY EFFICIENT EQUIPMENT / FEATURES

(Excludes Lighting controls strategy)

Energy Efficient Feature Description Energy Saving (kWh/yr) Notes
e.g. CO sensors eg. Office at level 2-7

Please substantiate through calculations that demonstrate energy savings of

features. The energy saving value entered in the cell should be a positive
value. The points calculator is programmed to read this as a saving and
TOTAL ENERGY SAVINGS 0 adjusts the figure accordingly

The basis for deriving the oevrall energy consumption and potential energy savings must be made clear and justifiable for consideration. Notwithstanding this, the potential
energy savings for the following systems/ devices are subjected to the cap based on the following:
List of accepted systems
/devices Energy Savings cap
CO sensors 15%
Occupancy sensors 15%
Photo sensors 15%
others To discuss with assessor
