    WHAT IS PEACE AND JUSTICE
    Global Goal #16:
    Peace and Justice is a goal that desperately needs to be achieved by the year 2030.
    This goal has many targets that need to be achieved.The targets are: Promote Peaceful and
    inclusive societies for sustainable development. Provide access to justice for all as well as build
    effective and accountable institutions at all levels. It wants to end all forms of violence and
    bribery. By 2030, provide legal identity for all, including birth registrations, etc. 1.8 billion people
    dont have a legal birth certificate making them a non official person. These targets can only be
    achieved if everyone does something to help.
    PLACES WHERE PEACE AND JUSTICE
    HASNT BEEN ACHIEVED YET.
    In many countries this goal and like all the other goals hasnt been totally achieved yet, however
    there have been many improvements regarding harmony many between countries in recent
    years. Many places have become less peaceful over the past years has there has been more
    violence present.There have be more terrorist attacks as well as more civil wars have started.
    One of the biggest Civil wars that is currently going on now is the Syrian Crisis. The Syrian
    crisis is one of the biggest civil wars. The war broke out 4 years ago and is still going on today.
    Not only in the middle East but other parts of the world: Central Africa, Vietnam, South Sudan,
    etc. all are going through civil wars today. Those countries/places are considered the most
    dangerous in the world. This Goal is particularly hard to achieve as many people dont agree
    on things. Some countries dont agree with other countries and that could potentially start a
    war. Without Peace and Justice the other goals couldnt be achieved.
    GRAPHS/STATISTICS
    In many countries people are undergoing terrorist attacks as well as war. In the recent years terrorist
    attacks have increased. Especially in the years 2015- 2017 terrorist attacks have been more visible:
    November 13th 2015 the first Paris attack happened which in turn killed 130 people and injuring dozens
    more. In March 2016 there were bombings in Brussel. July 14th 2016 the Bastille Day Massacre took
    place which killed 82 people. On the 19th December 2016 the Berlin Christmas market took place. The
    most recent attack to take place was just last week at a Ariana Grande concert in Manchester which
    killed 22 people and injuring thousands more.
    WHAT ACTION YOU CAN TAKE
    There are many things you can do to help achieve this goal, for example:
    1. Donate to charities supporting this specific goal.
    2. Raise awareness by informing others about this goal
    3. If you want to help all goals you can donate to a general organization that helps all of these goals. (The Children of
    Peace Charity, Thelifeyoucansave.org)
    4.You can make a poster or an infographic explaining what this goal is that way you are taking action to achieve this goal.
    5. I personally took action by attending the Singapore Service Conference 2017 at Chatsworth. One of the things I did
    there was make bags out of spare/old shirts and I put some toys inside. The bags were then transferd/given to an
    organization: Blue Dragon. The organization will send/give the bags to children in Vietnam.
