Special Thanks to Danielle McMichael for sharing all the
wonderful pictures she took during their adventure!
WE HAVE A WINNER...
of the $1,000 in the WORLDs Grand Prize Game!
Danielle McMichael and her two boys left no stone (or
snake) unturned to find the certificate... 2 years in a
row! Congratulations McMichael family!
We want to thank everyone who played the game.
We hope you had fun and maybe learned a little bit
more about our area. We also want to thank all of
the participating businesses: in Barre at Barre Tile/
Morrison Clark, Beverage Baron, Bobs Camera,
Mattress Land, Nelson Hardware, Quality Market,
Tuckers Machines and Richard J. Wobbys Jewelers.
In Montpelier: Agway Farm and Garden and Guys
Farm and Yard. In East Montpelier: Bragg Farm and
Delairs Carpet & Flooring. In Morrisville: Guys Farm
and Yard. And in Williamstown: Pump & Pantry.
2. You could locate me almost anywhere 11. If you want to be in $Grand Prize$ wonderland
But as you carefully look around, And thats not the one with Alice,
Digging me up is not required Figure out what it is I share
As you wont find me underground. With the lovely Town of Calais.
3. To facilitate $Grand Prize$ newcomers 12. You can build a hickory, elm or maplewood fire
And to enjoy the game quite properly, If you want to enjoy it and maybe boast.
Its safe to say that where I am But for the purposes of securing the prize,
Is not on private property. One of the three can help you the most.
4. Its early yet, the game is young 13. If its dark enough for fireworks
So please dont get down in the mouth. And now you can see the North star,
Keep you compass reading pointed West It might make for an interesting outing
And Spaulding High School to your South. But I would suggest youve gone too far.
5. Normally, a visit to Boyer State Forest 14. If you think youre getting warm now
Would suit a nature enthusiast just fine. But you remain frustrated enough to yelp,
But if youre enthusiastic about finding a Grand, Chill out with a tall, cool libation
Id be on the Barre side of Route 89. One from Michigans Mitten Brewery might help.
6. The names of notable performers here 15. I have for you a helpful clue ..
Was a Whos Who beyond compare. If you know the location of Pigeon Pond
But your show must go on elsewhere Not to suggest theres anything rotten in Groton
So maintain your Main Street course from there. As youll find we have a common bond.
7. Let me tell you Mister for 35 years 16. Sunny Spring days are a joy to be sure,
Theyve made pizza that makes folks yearn But dont be sad if its a rainy day.
But you havent time for Zs right now .. If weve had enough and youre on track,
Should you go straight or should you turn? You might see a Canadian Club and water on the way.
8. The year was Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Three 17. Of a Drake Cake, Tootsie Roll, or Clark Bar
The Green Mountain Central Institute began its 1st day. Two out of the three can assist you some.
Its now Northeast of my location The other will likely help you least,
And do you know what its called today? So be aware of how you come.
9. If you want your search to take off now 18. Locate where roads B, C, and D come together
The Edward Knapp State Airport might serve you best. And after youve had a chance to look around.
But if your intention is to land The Grand, Check the perimeter of the paver block wall
Id be gliding a bit more East than West. With your feet firmly planted on the ground.

ardens add visual appeal to
a yard, but gardens also can
appeal to individuals senses of
smell, taste, touch, and sound.
Gardeners who want to create gardens that
appeal to various senses can do so in the
following ways.
SIGHT
Aesthetic appeal is one of the most sought-after benets
of gardening. However, many homeowners put in so much
effort planting for one particular season that they may not
give thought to ensuring the garden looks vibrant no matter
the time of year.
Gardeners can research planting zones to nd plants that
will blossom at different times of the year so they can enjoy
impressive, aesthetically appealing gardens year-round.
Spring bulbs can bloom early on, while annual and perennial
summer favorites will thrive under the summer sun. Beauty-
berry and caryopteris will ll out in the autumn, while holly
or mahonia can look lovely in the winter.
SMELL
Gardeners can dot their landscapes with aromatic trees, Songbirds also will add character to a yard. The Audubon

awns face many threats, not the
least of which is grubs. The lar-
vae of certain types of insects,
including beetles, grubs feed on
the roots of grass and plants and can turn
even the greenest, most impressive lawns
into unsightly eyesores.
Many homeowners spend lots of time tending to their
lawns, so the effects of grub infestations can be especially
frustrating. Learning to recognize what grub infestations look
like and how to address them can help homeowners restore
their lawns as quickly as possible.
