Products has had a lot of achievements to say down the line.The promoter of the firm - Mr. S. H.
Aboobaker is well known businessman throughout coastal area from Gujarat to Kerala. He is in the
fishery business since last 23-25 as partner & director of different firms.

After retiring from these old firms,he has established this firm with an aim to provide quality marine
products to customers, suppliers & export houses.

1) Mr. Shahul Hamid Aboobaker Managing Partner :-
Mr.Aboobaker is the managing director of the firm. He is in this industry from the last 30 years.
He started his career as an employee under a fishing supplier. Later on he started working with
Mr.Valikalayil Abraham as a supervisor and they both went on to become partners and
established , Konkan Marine Products, a registered partnership firm engaged in the trading of
fish and marine products. This company saw great results due to the hardwork and dedication of
Mr.Aboobaker and then they took the big step by entering into export by establishing a firm,
Karunya Marine Exports-for which he took the initiative by negogiating the land deal on part
of the firm. This firm also performed well . In the year 2009, he retired from his directorship due
to some management issues with other directors. Thereafter, the next year, he also retired from
all the other firms and separated himself from the Abraham Family. It was very much difficult for
him to start everything new and to establish a new business after a long back-period of 23 years.
But, he decided to start & establish a new business and for that purpose he incorporated a
registered partnership firm by the name of M/s. Jeelani Marine Products for trading business in
fish and marine products on 11-04-2011. The said firm has purchase, sale and supplies these
products throughout the costal belt from Gujarat to Kerala. Also, the firm is engaged in trading
of aquaculture products from Andhra-Pradesh & Gujarat. His vision is to make Jeelani Marine
Products the worlds largest supplier of marine products and also to provide products of at most
quality on the five seas and across the seven continents.

2) Mrs. Aishabeevi Aboobaker Rawther Partner :-

Mrs. Aishabeevi is the other partner of the firm and is a graduate in Commerce. She is
looking after all the accounts and finance of the firm. She is associated with the firm from
initial stage and she is capable of handling the core departments of the firm, i.e. accounts
& finance. She is regularly monitoring the all functions of the firm.

3) Mr. Shajahan Shamsuddin Rawther General Manager

Mr. Shajahan Shamsuddin Rawther has worked as a Supervisor in Konkan Marine

Products and handled the tasks of purchases and he had also supplied raw materials to
their exporting firm M/s. Karunya Marine Exports Pvt. Ltd. He is associated with the
firm since its inception as Manager and he is handling the purchase & transport
department of the firm. He is devoting his full time for the growth & expansion of the
firm. He has also continued his supply business with the firm . He has given his personal
guarantee for the limits sanctioned to the firm.

4)Mr.Zahoor Hakim- Manager (Finance)

Pre-Processing unit
Pre-processing activities of the firm is undertaken in this factory which is located near the seacoast
i.e- Mirkarvada area of Ratnagiri. Due care is given and it is seen that all the essential steps are
taken to preserve the freshness and quality of the catches. As per the requirement of the customer,
pre-processing is done on prawns/shrimps to convert them into headless or PUD. Also, cutting &
cleaning process is done on some fishes as per the demand and requirement of the customer &
export houses. To keep intact the freshness and quality of the product, all the requisite infrastructure
is readily available with the Firm. To maintain the quality of the products the firm has its own ice
plant, fleet of insulated vehicles, trained supervisor & staff members.

Ice Plant

1. M/s. Aboobaker Ice & Cold Storage is situated at the M.I.D.C(Maharashtra industrial
Development Corporation) or Industrial Area of Ratnagiri. It commenced or began its
operations from The said plant in
its first phase had an installed capacity of 45 Tons/Day.In the second phase an additional
capacity of 65 Tons/Day were added taking the total installed capacity at 110 Tons/Day
making it one of the biggest ice plants in Ratnagiri.The said plant is a fully modernized plant
with state of art machineries. Due care has been taken to see that that the said plant is a
future proof and an automated one, by procuring the latest technologies available in the
Refrigeration Sector.

2. M/s Jeelani Marine Products(Ice Division) is situated at the M.I.D.C

(Maharashtra industrial Development Corporation) or Industrial Area of
Ratnagiri.it commenced or began its operations from January,2015.The said
plant has an installed capacity of 65 Tons/Day. The said plant is a fully
modernized one and new technologies to conserve water is also inducted.

Transportation

Transportation of the Fish & Marine Products from their landing centre to processing unit and
thereafter at customer place with intact freshness and quality is our prime motto. For that we have
20 vehicles, fully insulated having carrying capacity of 6 tones/vehicle with preservation capacity up-
to 5-6 days. Due to the availability of such modern facilities The raw material, i.e. catches purchased
by us throughout the coastal area of the India are transported in its intact form and is necessary to
keep the freshness and quality of the products. Along with this the firm has a fleet of small pickups
for delivery of ice to the harbor or dock.

Achievements

1. D-50 Ice-plant won the 1st price in the category best small scale industry in
Ratnagiri District by the District Industries Center of Ratnagiri.

industry in Ratnagiri District from Honourable Guardian Minister of Ratnagiri
