    Dear Shining Mountain Elementary School,

    I am writing in regards to the open position you have for an elementary


    teacher. I found about your job opening through the Tacoma Job Fair. I was
    excited to see that you have an opening in the intermediate grade band, as I
    discovered in my pre-service experience I have found that I fit best in third
    through fifth grades.

    I recently received my Elementary Educators Certificate from the State of


    Montana after completing my Elementary Education bachelors degree with a
    reading minor. In my pre-service experiences I have seen a number of
    different classroom philosophies and found that I feel that students should be
    given the opportunity to take ownership in their learning through a mix of
    inquiry and direct instruction. The use of technology has allowed students to
    take ownership of their learning in a way I havent seen previously. In my
    teaching I use technology to enhance lessons and provide students with
    skills they will utilize in the future. In addition to my passion for learning, I
    will be an asset in your school because I am highly organized, lively and
    ready to tackle any challenges that might be presented. My enthusiasm and
    commitment to learning and teaching allows me to create lifelong learners. I
    will benefit your school because I act with respect, understanding and
    patience for those around me.
