Regulating elements for ventilating grilles
Regulating elements are used in order to achieve additional control over the airflow volume, speed and air supply. All of the regulating elements are made of galvanized
steel plate, and for the aluminium grilles the P type damper is fitted with pressed aluminium blades.
52
Counter directional regulating damper. Used in low and medium pressure installations
in a non-aggressive environment with relative humidity up to 70%. Purposed to fitting
in air grilles and diffusers as an element regulating the air flow. Casing made of galvanized
steel plate. Blade alignment regulated by the means of a hex wrench from
the side of the front frame.
Hygiene certificate: HK/B/1705/01/2008.
max 170
Single element air supply damper. Used in low and medium pressure installations
in a non-aggressive environment with relative humidity up to 70%. Purposed to fitting
in air grilles, especially in circular profile ducts.Air stream deflector and the regulating joint
made of galvanized steel sheet. Regulation of air flow from the front frame by tilting
the deflector.
Hygiene certificate HK/B/1705/01/2008.

Angular air supply slotted damper. Used in low and medium pressure installations
in a non-aggressive environment with relative humidity up to 70%.Purposed to fitting
in air grilles, especially in circular profile ducts. Slots of the damper aligned at an angle
to the dampers surface. Element entirely made of galvanized steel sheet. Regulation
of air flow carried out by shifting the shutter from the front, closing the inlet slots.
Hygiene certificate HK/B/1705/01/2008.
Straight slotted air supply damper. Used in low and medium pressure installations
in a non-aggressive environment with relative humidity up to 70%. Purposed to fitting in air grilles,
especially in circular profile ducts. Slots parallel to the surface of the damper. Element entirely
made of galvanized steel sheet. Regulation of air flow carried out by shifting the shutter
from the front, closing the inlet slots.
Hygiene certificate HK/B/1705/01/2008.

Ventilation grilles technical data Ventilation grilles technical data
Diagram for selection of masking grilles KST Instructions for diagram selection of masking grilles KST
Relation of pressure loss (p), maximum stream velocity (Vef), a range of velocity stream V=0.25 m/s (L0.25) and a level of acoustic power (LWA)
from air stream volume (Q).
L0.25 range means distance, by which air velocity does not exceed 0.25 m/s.
Vef velocity means the maximum air exhaust velocity from a grille measured at the outlet.
Chart concerns grilles with totally open dampers.

KNK grille
Vef [m/s] 0,5
Relation of pressure waste (p), maximum stream velocity (Vef), a range of velocity stream V=0.25 m/s (L0.25) and a level of acoustic power (LWA)

from air stream volume (Q).
L0.25 range means distance, by which air velocity does not exceed 0.25 m/s. 1225
Vef velocity means the maximum air exhaust velocity from a grille measured at the outlet. 1025
Chart concerns grilles with totally open dampers. 2 1225 825

Moving along the curve reflecting a given outlet (outlet line) it is possible to estimate the maximal velocity of the air stream knowing the distance from the ventilator.
For ventilators type D1 = 130, D2 = 350, sized 98 x 598 maximal velocity does not exceed 0,9 m/s within 1 meter from the ventilator.
For ventilators type D1 = 200, D2 = 540, sized 598 x 598 maximal velocity does not exceed 0,1 m/s.

case of using a longer diffuser, or using two or three units, in order to calculate the
demanded air outlet and correctly read the value from the diagram one needs to Qh = Qh diagram x D x N
calculate the following:
Active surface of the diffuser depends on the blade fixing:
Example of selection:
Task 1: Task 2:

Pt total = 13 Pa
For a single diffuser:
Demanded air outlet: L0,5 = 7,5 m
Qh = 90 x 3 m = 270 m3/h L0,2 = 9,5 m
Pressure loss can be also read from the diagram Pt = 1 Pa Vmax = 4,2 m/s
(for Qh diagram = 90 {[m3/h]/m}. Vdu = 1,6 m/s
Maximum velocity equals 1,1 m/s and the average is 1,02 m/s.
Air stream range L0,2 = 6,5 m. Double diffuser:
Qh diagram = 200/(1,5 x 2) = 66,6 {[m3/h]/m}
For two diffusers: Pt total = 3 Pa
Qh = 90 x 3 x 2 = 540 m3/h
Pt total = 1 Pa L0,5 = 1,4 m
Maximum velocity and range L0,2 as with a single diffuser L0,2 = 5 m
Vmax = 2,3 m/s
For two diffusers: Vdu = 0,8 m/s
Qh = 90 x 3 x 3 = 810 m3/h
Pt total = 1 Pa Triple diffuser:
Maximum velocity and range L0,2 as with a single diffuser. Qh diagram = 200/(1,5 x 3) = 44,4 {[m3/h]/m}
