The first interdisciplinary Master program in the department was started in Mechatronics
Engineering in the year of 2008 with annual intake of 27. The program emphasizes on fundamental
principles of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering required in the field of
Mechatronics Engineering for various applications. Students are also encouraged to do their projects
in industries, wherever there are chances of exposure to various avenues in Mechatronics
Engineering. The program has traversed the path of knowledge dissemination and generation as
well as delivering the well qualified manufacturing engineering post graduates to the Nation.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
a. Apply knowledge of math, science, and mechatronic engineering disciplines to solve real
life industrial problems.
b. Build prototype, test analyze and interpret the results.
c. Design mechatronic systems, process or product
d. Independently analyse complex problems with their course background and dissertation
work carried out during program.
e. Develop knowledge of computer based mechatronics engineering tools for modeling
simulation and optimization.
f. Have competency in applying mechatronic solutions to satisfy social, economic need at
global level.
g. Implement mechatronic system/process which is environment friendly with appropriate
consideration for public health and safety.
h. Understand professional and ethical responsibilities, towards society and the environment.
i. Work as member of multi-disciplinary team.
j. Communicate technical matters through visual, verbal and written modes.
k. Recognize the importance of continued learning due to constantly evolving technology and
develop entrepreneurial skills.
l. Exhibit effective project management skills to conceive and develop project plan.
