TRUE Brother of the Month Chasse Heiskala

Every month the Executive Committee chooses a brother who demonstrates
and lives up to the values of our Fraternity. It shows that helpful actions do not
go unnoticed.
This months recipient is Chasse Heiskala. He demonstrated his abilities to
assist the brotherhood from outside the High Zeta by helping multiple officers
with tasks, and eventually taking over the responsibilities of High Epsilon.
Chasse is always willing to Help a Brother Out in any way he can. Congrats
Chasse!

Meet High Beta Mac Nelson

Mac is a junior Automotive Engineering Technology major, and our current
Internal Vice President. He was initiated in in Fall 15, is a current Big Brother to
Brandon Alden, and also held the position of High Iota. He obviously loves cars, and
when asked why he likes his major he said, I have always been passionate about
everything cars. This major gives me the opportunity to someday hopefully design
and manufacture cars/parts. His hobbies outside of the fraternity include, you
guessed it, cars. He loves working on cars, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, but he
also enjoys fishing, anything outdoors, and anything sports related.
Respect is not one His favorite thing about Lambda Chi is the bond that we share as brothers. There

and every person. Respect is not one of those things that you are born with or just have, you have to
earn it from each and every person. If I do not have someones respect, I will do
everything I can to gain that persons respect.

Dance Marathon
On February 25th, an event called Dance Marathon took place. Dance
Marathon is an event that raises money toward Gillette Childrens
Specialty Healthcare. It is a philanthropy event that is put on primarily by
the Greek Community. There are several teams that are made up of all
members of Greek Life. This year, Derek Herzog helped lead the Light
Blue team and Robert Kueny helped lead the Pink team. The event helped
raise more than 26 thousand dollars for Gillettes. Way to go Derek, Rob,
and all of our brothers that contributed!

throwing what he knows him. He was initiated Fall 16 and has already become involved
in a variety of areas in the fraternity. In his first semester as
an active member, he is serving on the executive committee, is
a chairmen for High Rho and Greek Week representative, and
is the big brother of AM Nick Evans.
By far the part of Lambda Chi I like the most is the relationships that I have made
and the brotherhood within the fraternity, said Ryan, I also have really enjoyed
taking a larger role in the fraternity by being on exec, having a couple chairs and a
little brother

Meet High Theta Derek Herzog

Derek is a sophomore who transferred from the University of Minnesota, studying
Management. He is from Hopkins, MN, and was initiated in the Fall 16 class. When
asked why he enjoyed Management, Derek said, I have strong interest in the non-profit
sector, but not sure what I want to do with that. Derek enjoys being a business major
because I like to talk to people and work with them toward a common goal. In the
fraternity, he was elected High Theta this past November, which fuels his passion for
community service and philanthropy. Outside of the fraternity, Derek accepted
leadership positions as a Bus Core Leader with Students Today Leaders Forever, and a
Morale Captain with Dance Marathon. I am introduced to

Dereks core value is Personal Courage, because taking responsibility for one's memories with the guys

Lambda Chi Alpha Meet A Soon-To-Be Alumni

415 S. Broad St.
Apt.1-3 Jeff Covey, who was initiated back in the spring of 2014,
Mankato, MN, 56001 is now in his final semester at MSU and will soon graduate
with an Accounting and Corporate Finance Degree! Jeff
already has a job lined up at KPMG which is an accounting
and consulting firm in Minneapolis. Eventually he hopes to
transfer to the KPMG office in San Diego and build a career
in the finance side of business.
He has certainly left his mark on Lambda Chi Alpha
during his time in the chapter by having multiple little brothers
and holding a position on the executive committee, along with
continuously striving to be the best brother possible. When
asked about his favorite memory while in Lambda Chi Jeff
said, My favorite memory while in Lambda Chi was the week
of my initiation. Initiation week put all that Lambda Chi stands for into perspective and
allowed me to truly see that I am a part of something much bigger them myself. Brother
Covey will certainly be missed within the fraternity as he pursues his passion and career
in business.
Please wish Brother Covey well as he continues his passion for accounting! And be
sure to keep a lookout for more Soon-To-Be Alumni!
