Electrical Containments - comments:-
Code

1. Submit electrical rooms, shafts installation details & sections/ elevation in separate drawing. C
2. All cable tray fittings to be factory made HDGAF type to the sizes required.

3. Ground the cable trays,trunking as per project specification codes/ standards.

4. Supports for cable trays: for LV cables-distance between supports shall be 1200mm and at every joint,
fitting. For trunking: distance between supports shall be to the manufacturers recommendations.

5. Since no installation details are provided in the shop drawing, contractor to follow IFC details and best
installation practices.

6. All LV cables shall XLPE/PVC/LSF outer sheath as per project specifications.

7. Submit cable sizes subject to approval of calculations accepted here conditionally.

8. Trunking sizes for non-essential cables accepted based on the no. of circuits & wires inside. (Any changes
to be highlighted in revisions).

9. Trunking sizes for TEL/data & security system shall be as per P & W response on RFI # 193 R1 & RFI #
221.

10. Coordinate with other trades & services to avoid conflicts.

11. Provide fixation details & full elevation & section for bus bars.

12. Submit Bus ways/ Bus bar drawing separately.

13. Revise all electrical cable trays fitting in electrical rooms.

14. Identify the containment carrying cables in section specified in drawings/ wires inside it.

15. The minimum separate distance between low current system and low voltage power cable is 300mm.

16. Exact method of joining cable trays, cable ladder & cable trunking shall be in accordance with the
respective manufacturers recommendation using proprietary components.

17. This containment plan shall be co-ordinated with MEP coordination drawing, Builders work drawing, and
Structural drawing & others affected disciplines.

18. Re-evaluate trunking sizing as per IEEE standard.{ As per laid & can be laid}

19. Refer to the drawing sheet comments.
