    Our esteemed / and dynamic/ municipal mayor of Tanauan,/

    Honorable Pelagio R. Tecson Jr.,/ our active Vice-Mayor/, Hon.


    Ronald E. Flores /and the members of the Sangguniang
    Bayan,/reverend sisters of mercy,/ distinguished guests,/ friends,/
    citizens of Tanauan,/ I greet you all/ a pleasant evening.
    A popular adage goes,/ No man is an island/ underscoring the
    reality/ that no one can live by himself alone. /Man was made/ to
    exist with one another / and we have seen/ so many examples/ of
    how the best in us is brought out/ when sharing and rendering
    others what we have. /Indeed,/ just like how a composers music/
    is brought to life by an orchestra,/ or how a students mind /is
    molded by an inspiring teacher, / a lot of things are better
    together./
    May I take this opportunity/ to welcome each of you /to
    Assumption Academys /Maribhong nga Pagkaurusa han Iba-iba
    nga Kultura! / Rayhak!/Karaygan/Rayandayan/Uswag pa
    Tanauan!/is the theme behind this years Tanauan Fiesta
    Celebration. /Its an exciting time/ not only to Assumption
    Academy/ but to the whole town of Tanauan, as we continue to
    grow and adapt, remaining always adaptable, motivated and
    responsive to the challenges brought by the changing world. It is
    with great pride and honor that I welcome you to this showcase of
    talents, to honor our Patron, the Assumption of Our Lady and to
    glorify God. By this way, we are able to venerate Our Lady and to
    praise and thank God for all the blessings our town has received,
    especially for sparing us from calamities and great despair. Our
    town, our world is confronting a time of many changes. We are of
    different cultures, beliefs and faiths but through diversity, we find
    unity to face these struggles together, regardless of race, color or
    faith.
    Were transforming the way we could to continuously fulfill our
    mission to create interpersonal relationship, develop the skills and
    talents and create global competitiveness. The administration,
    faculty and staff and students of Assumption Academy have
    continued to meet the challenges of our world and to excel despite
    setbacks. We should all be very proud of where we are today and
    excited about where we are headed.

    Id like to thank each of you for being here tonight. We, as


    Tanauananons have the vision, the knowledge, the wherewithal
    and the experience to help ourselves pave our way into the future,
    and the only way to predict the future, is to do it. Padayon kita
    pag-uswag Tanauan! Maupay nga patron ha aton natanan. Once
    again, I welcome you all, as Assumption Academy brings the world
    to you!
