    OBJECTIVES OF THE LESSON:


    1. to revise past simple, past continuous and past perfect as used in story telling;
    2. to consolidate students knowledge of the values of the narrative tenses;
    3. to extend students knowledge of question forms in narrative tenses;
    4. to hear examples of the target language in context and give practice in listening for
    specific information and retelling a story;
    5. to practice story telling using the past tenses.
    MATERIALS:handouts, coursebook, pictures.
    ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS:
    Ss might be tempted to speak in mother tongue;
    Ss might be shy and unwilling to participate actively throughout the lesson.

    filling in with a suitable narrative tense.
    Activity three: Ss are encouraged to use the
    prompts to ask and answer questions to describe
    experience.
    Activity four: Ss are asked to listen to a story, put
    the pictures in the correct order and retell the story
    in their own words.

    sea;
    - Isabelle felt about Oliver afterwards;
    - his father reacted when he saw the state of
    the car.
