RACE 1:
3 MIDNIGHT JOKER is sitting on a winning
performance after following his hard-fought
$25,000 maiden victory with a 2nd place finish
beaten a neck at 30-1 at this level and
distance. 4 ROYAL FLAME is debuting on the
turf after stalking early and holding on late to
defeat $25,000 maidens in his career debut
going a mile and a sixteenth on a sealed sloppy
track. Then gelded son Leroidesanimaux is bred
to respond favorably to the surface switch.
1 IL FARAONE is stretching out to a mile after
finishing full of run when rallying to finish 5th
behind Midnight Joker beaten only a length as
they crossed the wire.
SELECTIONS: 3-4-1
RACE 2:
6 LEGACY DANSEUR is turning back to a mile
after dueling early, and drawing clear late as
the odds-on choice to defeat $6,250 2-lifetime
claimers by 2 lengths. Trainer Jena Antonucci
has red-hot jock Edgard Zayas going for two in a
row. 3 MAJOR ASSET is stepping up to the next
level after returning from the 2-month layoff to
defeat $6,250 2-lifetime runners at the distance
last out. Trainer Manny Estevez tabs Jonathan
Gonzales to ride as Zayas sticks with the top
choice. 4 BURNING WILD is returning to the
main track after a trio of solid performances on
the turf against similar quality. The concern is the
zero-for-24 record on a fast main track (24-0-15).

RACE 3:
8 REYNARD FOX is dropping to the $12,500
level after following his $40,000 maiden score
going 7 furlongs with a stalk and fade 7th place
finish in a $30,000 conditioned claimer going a
mile last out. Trainer Amy Tarrant has Lane Luzzi
in the saddle.

9 MOMMAS MARK is debuting locally for trainer


Jane Cibelli, and stretching out around 2-turns,
after ending his turf campaign at Laurel by
finishing a closing 4th in a $16,000 2-lifetime
claimer going 5 furlongs. He should closer to
the pace at this longer distance; Tyler Gaffalione
rides. 6 IMPERIAL WARRIOR is dropping a
notch after tracking the pace and finishing 4th
beaten 2-lengths in a $16,000 2-lifetime
claimer at the distance here last out. He should
carve out a key stalking trip behind the speed.

RACE 4:
7 MISS AWAY will try to make it 3 in a row after
following a $30,000 conditioned claiming score
with an equally solid victory here in a $12,500
state-bred optional claimer going three-quarters
of a mile. Trainer Yendr Pena has Marcos
Meneses handling the stretchout to 7 furlongs.
1 FORMAL CLASS, 2nd at this level and distance
two starts back, stretches out to 7 furlongs again
after coming within a neck of defeating this
caliber of competition going three-quarters of a
mile on a sealed sloppy track. 3 WHISTLE is
stepping up to face winners after rallying late to
defeat maiden special weight competition in her
career debut. Trainer Marty Wolfson has Tyler
Gaffalione going for two in a row on the daughter
of Hold Me Back.
SELECTIONS: 7-1-3
RACE 5:
5 ANNIE OSCHILLER is stepping up to the next
logical level, and turning back to a mile, after
parlaying a stalking trip, and a strong late push,
into a 3-length score vs $8,000 2-lifetime
claimers here going a mile and a sixteenth.
Trainer David Fawkes has Tyler Gaffalione going
for two in a row.

3 MISS VISCONTI, still looking for her first


victory this year (16-0-6-2), stretches out to a
mile after rallying to finish 2nd beaten a halflength going 7 furlongs. Trainer Manny
Estevez has Jorge Ruiz in the saddle.
10 VIRGEN MORENA is expected to show more
after returning from a 3-month layoff to finish a
late closing 4th in an $8,000 conditioned claimer
at the distance. Trainer Angel Rodriguez is 26%
with horses making the 2nd start after a 45-180
days layoff.
SELECTIONS: 5-3-10
RACE 6:
8 OVERDONE is turning back to three-quarters
of a mile after responding to the drop in
competition by finishing a game 2nd going 6
furlongs in his local debut at this $12,500 level.
1 BLUE SKYS ABOVE has his claiming tag cut
in a half after vying for the lead and holding on
the finish 3rd in his local debut at the $25,000
level. Trainer Ashley Dinanathsingh has Eduardo
Nunez handling the stretchout from 5 to 6
furlongs. 4 BANK ON JOHN, now in the Allen
Maragh barn, the gelding drops to this level, and
races without the blinkers, after setting a
pressured pace and weakening to finish 4th in his
local debut vs $16,000 maidens going seveneighths of a mile. Trainer Maragh is also named
to ride his new acquisition.

RACE 7:
7 GEMOLOGISTER, a half-brother to $1.2
million turf star Rutherienne, is turning back to 7
furlongs after following a 3rd place finish
against winners in the $75,000 Armed Forces
with a solid 2nd place finish beaten threequarters of a length in a maiden special weight
race here going a mile and a sixteenth.
2 SIR RAY, a full brother to Grade 2 stakesplaced Strike Midnight, is debuting locally, and
stretching out to 7 furlongs, after a couple of
promising sprints going 5 furlongs on the Parx
turf. The son of Smart Strike, trained by Ed Plesa
Jr should be part of the pace scenario at the
distance.

6 DYNAMIC DANCER is debuting locally after


hitting the board in 2 of 3 turf outings at this level
and distance across town, including the recent 5th
place finish as the favorite when they
removed to blinkers last out. The 2nd start without
the shades should produce positive results.
SELECTIONS: 7-2-6
RACE 8:
5 LAGO LINDO is dropping to the $25,000 level,
and turning back to 5 furlongs after tracking to
the pace and finishing a useful 7th in her 1-mile
career turf debut at the $50,000 level. Trainer
Ralph Nicks has Paco Lopez named to handle
the combo dropdown/turnback.
3 PARKERELIZABETH is making her first start
since dueling for the lead and fading to finish 6th
at $.50 cents to the dollar - in a $35,000
maiden sprint across town. Trainer Mike Maker
has Tyler Gaffalione tying to spark a rebound
performance. 9 DEBRAHS DANCE is expected
to show more after returning from the layoff,
debuting on the turf, and finishing 3rd here at this
level and distance. Trainer Manny Estevez has
Edgard Zayas in the saddle.
