Tiger Tough Football

This week your Tiger Football Teams showed what it really means to play
Tiger Tough Football. 7th grade Football met up with the Wood
Wranglers for playoff week. A team battled with the Wrangler
defense but held them to only 14 points. B team scored early and
was able to stop Woods offense from crossing the goal line, ending the
game with a defensive stop.
This week in 8th Grade Tiger Football your B- Team traveled to Ed White on
Tuesday to face the Eagles. From the opening kick-off to the last whistle
your Tigers established dominance to come home with decisive victory over
the Eagles 20-8. On Wednesday night, your A-Team traveled to
Comalander Stadium to play the Eagles in the first Play-off Game of the
night. Both teams battled in the trenches exchanging scores like boxers
exchanging punches in the ring, but in the end your Mighty Tiger Football
Team came home with the Victory, and the sweet taste of redemption,
defeating the Eagles 23-16.You may view the football results here.
Football Championship shirts may now be ordered. Please click here if you
would like to purchase a 7th Grade Championship Shirt or here if you wish
to purchase an 8th Grade Championship Shirt.
The 8th Grade Football Team would like to THANK Coach James, Mrs.
Rosenberg, Mr. Agueros, and The Mighty Fighting Tiger Band for their
support and awesome play at Wednesday nights game. We look forward to
our band coming out to our games next season.
As the football season has come and gone, we as a coaching staff at Tex
Hill MS would like to thank the entire Tiger Nation for the countless hours of
help and support you have shown the athletic program here at Tex Hill MS.
Because of your support you have made the football season a success at
both grade levels. With the foundation we all have set together, we believe
that the traditions established will continue for years to come. You continue
to set the standard for future Tiger Nation generations to come. We would
also like to give special thanks to Stephanie Nemec and Cyndy Sutton for
being our Football Parent Liaisons this season. Once again, thank you to all
the Tiger Nation from the bottom of our hearts. #tigerfamily

Coaches Corner
This week I would like to introduce you to Coach
Matt Guess. Coach Guess grew up in San
Antonio and is a NEISD product. Coach Guess
states, As a product of NEISD, I am proud to
continue the excellent traditions at our newest
middle school. What a great opportunity we
have at Tex Hill Middle School to make a
statement in the district. I look forward to taking
a brand new tennis team out into some stiff competition and seeing
what we're made of. So far it has been a blast teaching English, and
I'm ready to hit the courts. Along with his teaching duties, Coach Guess
is our Head Tennis Coach here at Tex Hill Middle School.
