What do you think of the TSA? The TSA has changed air travel.
Now there are long waits to be screened before boarding aircraft.
1.

Cockpit
door

The scans feel invasive, and I am sure that a true terrorist can devise a way to
circumvent the airport security. TSA has made the airport experience
impersonal and intimidating. The TSA agents are unfriendly in their professionnal no nonsense demeanor. The guidelines confiscate things that no one but a
terrorist would think of using as a weapon. My exercise equipment (dumb
bells), nail clippers, a fork that belonged to a set of silverware at home, my
yogurt that I brought to eat on the plane because I am allergic to airplane food.

2.Is it making travelers safer?

Quoted from the TSA's own statements:
As of mid-2011, terrorist threat groups present in the
Homeland are not known to be actively plotting against
civil aviation targets or airports; instead, their focus is on
fundraising, recruiting, and propagandizing. ( From
Techdirt.com see link in adjacent box).

3.Is it too rigid and annoying or a

good way to target terrorists?
"due to hardened cockpit doors and the willingness of passengers to challenge hijackers," it's
unlikely that there's much value in terrorists
trying to hijack a plane these days suggests the
TSA knows that airport security is nothing more
than theatrics.

Another view:
1,813 firearms were discovered
in carry-on bags at checkpoints across the country, averaging nearly five firearms per
day. Of those, 1,477 (81%) were loaded. Firearms were
intercepted at a total of 205 airports with Atlanta (ATL) on top
of the list for the most firearms intercepted (111) in 2013.
4.Have you ever traveled abroad? Yes, several times.
5. Were there any problems? My food got confiscated.

Advanced imaging technology

4.Describe an experience you or someone you know had

when traveling. This summer my friend went to Europe
from the US. He used no Advanced Imaging Technology
screening sites ( where you have to raise your hands, like above).

5.Were there any problems? We almost missed our flight it took so long to wait in line.
6.Was it easy? Yes. What was the hardest? I didnt like the invasion of privacy..
7.What preparations should one undertake for traveling? Pack liquids and semi-liquids
(yogurt) in 3 oz. bottles. Pack all in see through plastic bags for an easy and quick viewing.
