The Arcanus Spell Book The Great Sphere Visualization This power one can use for the

direction of force to ones own end. Use it liberally in all

workings.
Close your eyes and visualize a small golden sphere at your solar plexus.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through the mouth. With each breath
visualize the sphere growing larger and larger until it encompasses your entire body.
Visualize yourself surrounded by a golden sphere of protective light.
Note: You can increase this sphere to encompass a larger space simply by growing it
with each breath until it is the size required.
When the sphere is no longer needed, work the visualization in reverse with each breath
bringing the sphere smaller and smaller until it disappears into your solar plexus.
Ground any excess energy you may feel lingering.
This technique provides a pure space for healing, to raise power, or to protect against
baneful spirits and other forces.

Movement of Power Within the Sphere This technique is used for blessing and projecting power into a talisman or other object,
such as the wand or Athame.
First perform the sphere visualization to raise the power.
Next take a deep breath and visualize a beam of golden light rising up through your
body until it reaches the solar plexus.
Visualize a sphere of golden light form at the solar plexus.
Now take a deep breath and visualize a beam of golden light descending from a small
sphere just above the crown of the head.
With each breath it descends farther down the body until you reach the solar plexus and
combines with the first sphere.
Visualize the sphere of golden light at the solar plexus glowing brighter.
See it burn with great power.
Using your power hand, point at or hold the object to be blessed, empowered, or
projected upon.
Visualize a beam of light emanating from the solar plexus sphere traveling down your
power arm and into or at the object.
See the object glow with the light. Project as much of the power into the object as you

can until you feel it can take no more.

When complete, take a deep breath and absorb the sphere into the body.
This is a good technique for projecting protective power towards a direction or to banish
a troublesome spirit. Thus it is used to send power, by the skillful sorcerer, to attain what
is desired.
This is the foundation of all our ways. It gives us the ability to project our wills to the
ends of the universe. This technique allows us to create spells that will fulfill those
things that lay within our hearts. What follows are spells for those things that may be
useful.

Behold the spells To gain funds Gather together the following A green candle

Fire proof plate or cauldron
Light the candle saying The light illumines my goal. The green force of riches do I call unto this place to
fulfil my spell.
Light the charcoal from the candle saying From the central power of the all do I call forth the creatures of fire to carry my
spell to the abodes of the Gods.
Cast some incense upon the hot coals saying Creature of Fire and Air, carry my desire to the heavens. Upon you, will my desire
be written.

Take up the glass of wine. Hold it aloft to each compass point saying Empower this wine with the gift of magic. Let it take my thoughts to higher points
and commune with the great ones.
Visualize it glowing with power. Take a sip after each quarter. Once done, replace upon
the altar.
Perform the Great Sphere Visualization. Write upon the parchment thy desire for the
funds one requires. See the words glowing with the power you have raised. Fold it twice.
Hold the parchment into the incense and say the following To the all I send my will. To the abode of the Gods doth my desire ascend. As the
smoke rises to the heavens so does my need become fulfilled.
Using the gold or silver piece, inscribe an equal armed cross upon the folded paper with
it saying From the all doth my need come. At the crossroads of desire do I cast my lots to
become that which is more than a (man or woman). Into this spell do I put my
power that it may grant me my desire.
Visualize power flowing into the parchment fulfilling your desire. Light the folded paper
with the candle and drop it into the cauldron or onto the plate saying As the fire doth consume, so is my spell released to do its work. Creature of fire,
take this upon your fiery wings and deliver it to the feet of the great ones. As it is,
so shall it be.
See the spell rise up from the ashes and drift as smoke to the heavens. Take up the glass
of wine again saying I raise this glass to the gods in their high abodes. I give honour, praise, and thanks
to them for granting my desire. As it is, so shall it be.
End the ritual and know that your desire has been granted.
The Dark Ritual or Communion with the All Materials needed -

Red Wine
Dagger or Dirk
Bread
Salt
Candle
Incense

In a darkened room, prepare an alter facing North with the red wine to your right, the
dagger crossway's in front of you, the candle in the center, the bread and salt on a platter
to your left, and the incense between the dirk and candle in front of you.
Light the Candle and the incense. Perform the sphere working. Once ready, take up the
dagger and inscribe an invoking pentagram to the North, East, South, West, and back to
North. Inscribe an invoking pentagram above you and below you. Close your eyes and
visualize the pentagrams glowing all around you. You are ready for powerful forces.
Inscribe an invoking pentagram over the wine saying
Blood of the Dark Mother, Hecate, be blessed and empowered by the spirit of the
dark forces that reside within the deep mists of legend.
Hold the magic of the fey and power of the lands from which they spring.
As it is, so shall it be.
See the wine glow with the power you have invoked. See it transformed from wine into
blood. Your blood. The blood of all that live or have lived. The blood of the Dark
Mother.
Inscribe an invoking pentagram over the bread and salt saying Flesh of the Father, Cernunnos Luciferos, be blessed and empowered by the spirit
of the lands that we tread. Hold the magic of the soil and winds and rain. Glow
with the fires that fall from the skies and burn those that would walk against your
children.
As it is, so shall it be.
See the bread and salt glow with the power of the All Father and the lands. It is no
longer bread and salt, but the flesh of the All Father and the lands upon which you walk.
It is your flesh, and the flesh of all.
Tear off a piece of bread and dip it in the salt. Pass it through the incense saying -

The smoke of our spirit guides us to the places of mystery. Into my body to I take
the flesh of all
my kin. Into my spirit do I take the flesh of the All Father and ride the
wild hunt into the other world. As it is, so shall it be.
Eat the bread and feel the power coursing through you. Once consumed, say As my body consumes the flesh, so does my flesh grow stronger. As my spirit
soars, so does my power grow. As it is, so shall it be.
Pick up the wine. Hold it to the darkened sky and say This is the blood, the life, the birth. Into my heart do I take the sustaining breath
of the Dark Mother. In my veins doth run the power of all things from the time
before creation. I am of the Mother and she is of me. As it is, so shall it be.
Drink the wine and feel the warmth of the blood flow through you. Feel it empower your
spirit center. Say My blood burns with the Mother. My mind soars as she soars. I am of the all and
the all is of me. Nothing is beyond my power for I reach into infinity. As it is,
so shall it be.
Open your arms in an accepting manner and vibrate Ahhhhhhhhh....
Feel the power emanate out into all of the worlds that exist. You are at one with
everything. You are everything. Cast any other spells or simply feel the power and
travel to the ends of creation. When ready, take a deep breath and return to your body.
Inscribe banishing pentagrams in the reverse order that you did the invoking. Re-absorb
the sphere. Leave the incense to burn and snuff the candle.
Weather spell This spell is one to control the weather based on the winds of each quarter. You will
need to be outside for this working. Using the Wand or Athame, face North. Perform the
Sphere Visualization. Project your consciousness into the sky in the direction which you
are going to be drawing the forces. I generally feel which direction the wind is coming
from and use that as a starting point. It is easier to utilize the forces of nature and their
natural inclination than trying to force your will. In my mind, I point my Wand or
Athame at the clouds and visualize a beam of light projecting from my weapon into

them. I visualize them beginning to form into storm clouds if I am calling up a storm, or
see them move as if pushed by a great wind if I am calling up wind, etc..... I give an
example below (Calling up a storm)
The wind is coming from the East. I face that direction and begin my working.
I close my eyes and project my consciousness into the sky.
I visualize a beam of light projecting from my Wand into the existing clouds.
Storm clouds begin forming..
I say Winds of the East, hear my call. Come and bring your powers to this
working. Bring rain and lightning. Power and force. I call upon you. Come!
Hear my call. Come!
I visualize the wind blowing stronger and stronger. I see the clouds turn black and start
giving birth to the storm. The winds blow and the storm moves in. I return to my body
and enjoy the power that falls in the form of rain.
So endeth the lesson on Weather Magic.
A quick protection Talisman This is an emergency technique that has worked well in the past. Using a coin, pebble,
crystal, or any other small innocuous item that you do not care if you lose. Hold it within
your power hand. That being the hand that is dominant to you. Perform the Sphere
Visualization and empower the object. See it as a barrier to all that may harm you. Cast
it the direction of the danger, or drop it behind you in your path so as to block the
danger.
This is a temporary distraction to the danger that follows you. It will not last long, so
you must remove yourself from the danger as soon as possible.
Dark Moon Ritual -

Materials Black Candle

Red Wine
Dark Chocolate
Dark Moon Incense
Matches

Light the Black Candle. Light the incense. Pour the Wine. Place Dark Chocolate upon
altar stone. Perform the invocation of the Goddess and the God. Stand with arms open
wide and say:
This night of the dark moon, I give greetings to the Grandmother of all. Crone of
secrets I hold out my hand to you in hopes of feeling your embrace. Goddess of
the dark powers that ride this night, I ask that your touch fill me with the knowing
of the ways of the darkness. So mote it be.
Hold cup of wine staring into it's depths and say:
The blood of all I see within this vessel of night. The life of things hidden and yet
known. I take into myself these knowings and the spirit of their existence.
Sip. Feel the strength of the night forces fill you. Take a piece of Dark Chocolate hold it
up into the night saying:
The bitterness of life is dispelled as I consume the dark powers of the
Grandmother. May the dark light fill me with it's strength. As it is, so shall it be.
Eat the chocolate. Experience the taste of the night. Perform any dark moon magic's.
Close ritual.
Basic Healing Ritual Materials Patient
Herbs appropriate to the healing being done
Teapot
Kettle of boiling water
Smudge Stick
Pine or Oak bough
Bowl of water
Teacup
Matches
Light candles, incense and smudge. Smudge the room. Utilize the Sphere Working to
clear and prepare the room and patient for healing. Take up the Athame and describe an
upright pentagram over the herbs saying:
Oh creature of (name of element), remove the affliction of (name of affliction)

from (name of patient), child of the Great Mother and the All Father. Allow the
body to heal with thy powers. As it is, so shall it be.
Place the herbs into the teapot. Pour the boiling water over them saying:
Release thy healing powers into the water of life and give comfort and health to
whomsoever drinks of your bounty. In the name of the Goddess and the God, as it
is, so shall it be.
Let the herbs steep for about 10-20 min. Pour into a cup. Take up the Athame or Wand
and describe the pentagram of Spirit over it saying:
Unto the body you are healing. Go straight and pure to heal this child of the
Goddess and the God. Let (name of ailment) be banished away and never to
return. As it is, so shall it be.
Give the brew to the patient and have them drink it till it is gone. Say :
Great Mother, thank you for giving me life and breath of the magic way. I praise
everyday that I am your child and you are my Mother of All. Thank you and bless
all that has been done here. As it is, so shall it be.
All Father, thank you for giving me the courage of life and knowledge of the
natural way. I praise everyday that I am your child and you are my All Father of
the sky and sun. Thank you and bless all that has been done here. As it is, so shall
it be.
Make offerings of incense to the Great Mother and All Father.
You may need to repeat this again if the ailment doesn't disperse within a day or two.
Also, you should give the patient more of the healing herb blessed by you to take
throughout the day at regular intervals depending on the affliction and herb being taken.
Spells for Healing Maladies There are times when it may be necessary to utilize magic to heal an affliction. These
following rituals will serve you well, for a en-sickened witch is vulnerable to attack by
malicious spirits or other sorcerers.
For the sickness that afflicts the lungs:
To relieve this, gather the following:

Ginger, Boneset, Rosemary, and fresh water from a spring.

Heat the water to a boil while reciting the following:
"To heal. To begin. To ease the suffering of the body, I cast upon you the spell of
healing to give strength where strength has gone."
Cast in 1/4 tea spoon of Ginger saying:
"Fiery herb of scented power. Release your healing ways into this child of the
spring. Open the pathways to the winds and let all sickness ebb."
Cast in 1 tea spoon of Boneset saying:
"Auric being of glowing light, place your powers of strength and healing within
this being of water."
Cast in Rosemary saying:
"Creature of the Sun, holder of spirit strong, join with the children of the land and
give aid to this potion of might. Hold the body in your healing hands and cast out
the malady that inflicts the spirit."
Allow this potion to steep for 15 minutes. Let cool slightly and give one mouthful at at
time to the afflicted four times a day.
When the afflicted drinks of this, visualize a white light descending down the throat and
settling within the lungs.
For fever that attacks the body:
To break the fever before it breaks the afflicted, one must utilize several means. The
following being one of the most efficacious utilizing the children of the Great Mother.
Gather together the following:
Boneset
Blessed Thistle
Valerian
Spring water
Bring the water to a boil whilst reciting:

"To heal, to begin, to ease the suffering of the body, I cast upon you the spell
of healing to give strength where strength has gone."
Cast into the blessed water the Boneset whilst saying:
"Creature of the land, gather the forces of the earth and cool the fire which burns
deep in the body. Quench the thirst of the heat that grows unabated. Break the
hold upon the body. Begin the healing of the spirit."
Cast into the water the Blessed Thistle whilst saying:
"Creature of fire, you know your kind and can hold their progress. Release your
powers and defeat the creatures that afflict the body with their flames. Blessed are
you called and blessed you shall be."
Cast into the water the Valerian whilst saying:
"Bestower of calming sleep, give to this brew your touch of peace."
Steep for 20 minutes and allow to cool enough to be taken without scalding. Give two
mouthfuls every two hours until the fever has abated.
Steps for making a fetish 1. Determine the nature of the fetish
2. Gather materials in harmony with the desire
3. Cut a 5 inch by 5 inch piece of red flannel or a colour that is in harmony with the
desire
At your working space, perform the centering exercise by closing your eyes and
breathing deeply through the nose and slowly exhaling out of your mouth. Do this three
times.
Keeping your eyes closed, allow yourself to relax to the point of nearly falling asleep.
This is the beginning of the Theta Gamma state. The easiest way to achieve this is by
rolling your eyes up and letting yourself relax into the meditative state.
When achieved, begin the process of making the fetish.
Taking each component in your power hand, ask your guides and spirits to bless the item
and grant the desire.
Example for psychic power:

I call upon my spirits that guide me. Empower this (herb, stone, shell, bone,
etc) with thy sight. Grant my own sight into the realms of the dark and let
all be lain before me. Ancestors that walk with me, lend thy touch and take
my hand unto the depths of all knowing.
Place the component into the center of the square of flannel. When all components have
been blessed, gather up the corners of the flannel and create a pouch containing the
items. Using string, wrap around the items nine times saying:
Round and round I bind these tools. To awake the power unknown to fools.
I wind my fate to the worlds around. And unto this path I am truly bound.
Tie the string into a knot to bind the materials into the flannel.
Holding the fetish between your hands, take a deep breath and gently breath upon the
fetish visualizing the fetish glowing with each breath. Do this three times. Then say:
I give thee breath from my breath. I give thee life from my life. Thou art
part of me and thou art empowered on this plane.
If this be a protective fetish, keep it with you always. If it be for a specific purpose,
psychic ability, etc, keep it safe and hidden from the eyes of the mundane and utilize it
when you have need of its powers.
THE KAMEA -

The Kamea, or magic square (see below), is utilized for the retrieval of sigils of the
various spirits that you encounter. These sigils are then used to summon the spirits. To
begin, you will take the numeric value of each letter of the spirits name and find the
location of each letter upon the square itself. Once you have located the position of each
letters number, draw a straight line connecting the numbers starting with the first and
ending with the last. This will give you the main sigil. To procure the sigil for the spirits
intelligence, that is to say its hidden powers, you will reduce the double digit number of
each letter once by adding the numbers together.
Example: the first number is 10. You will add 1+0=1. The final number will be 1. Do
this for all of the letters, then ascribe the sigil as in the first exercise.
These two sigils will allow you to have authority over the spirit. The first is usually all
that is needed, but if the spirit is obstinate, you utilize the second sigil.

Write these sigils on a clean parchment and place upon your altar when performing the
calling.

Intelligence Kamea -

A great secret is that you can also create a sigil for another person to elicit control over
them. This type of magic is not recommended, but I give the instruction for
completeness.
This type of magic can be utilized to snatch and control a persons soul or spirit for
whatever means that the witch deems necessary. Magical combat is the most widely use
for this technique and leaves the opponent detached and sickened. The ritual for calling
and controlling a spirit is the same for calling and controlling a persons soul. Be
forewarned that this procedure is fraught with much danger and special care must be
taken to prevent thy destruction, for ones own sanity and well being could be snatched
away and it would take great powers to recall you to your former self.
