Shanghai, 17 Jan 2016 RECOMMENDATION LETTER FOR STUDENT SOPHIE BRIAND
This recommendation letter is on support of Ms. Briand and her desire to attend EM Lyon Business School for the Luxury Management and Marketing program. I must say that although I usually receive many such requirements, I only recommend students whom I feel are well suited attitude, skills, knowledge- for the program of their choice, and this is the case of Sophie Briand. In fact, on a side note, I have recommended students accepted in almost all the most prestigious business programs around the world. I first met Ms. Briand in my Introduction to Entrepreneurship course during the fall 2015 semester. This is an optative course for several Master degrees related with management, innovation and technology at the School of Economics and Management of Tongji University in Shanghai. As professor of Entrepreneurship at TongJi University School of Economics and Management and also mentor at their incubator, I work with many students who have substantial knowledge of innovation and management and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Precisely, Sophie Briand has consistently displayed both, knowledge and spirit, in addition to prove to be an inquisitive, hard-working, and committed student. She confidently led a multicultural Asia-Europe, multidisciplinary team during the whole semester in a particularly challenging assignment. She took care of the details, added creativity and new ideas while at the same time ensuring that the project went in the right direction and results were delivered excellently and on time. Additionally, she has a very positive attitude, it is creative and able to think and act on different levels. Her communication skills are also outstanding. Last but not least, Sophie has also showed the skills to succeed in China, while working in a Chinese environment and only those who have experienced this can know how big is this achievement. In addition, I know that Sophie is well versed on the challenges of global businesses and she is very attracted by the luxury industry due to her working experience with the French jewel brand Mauboussin and with French delicacies and spirits at FAUCHON Paris. And maybe more important, I believe Sophie is committed to her goals, and therefore may be an excellent candidate for your school. I highly recommend that you consider her application, as she will be a great asset to your program. I am sure you will find her to be a student whose talents will only grow. And of course should you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Claudio Feijoo Full Professor Tongji University / Technical University of Madrid
