In my Diploma Course only CGPA / GPA / SGPA or letter grade has been
awarded in place of percentage of marks. Can I enter the grade in my
application?
Reply: Candidates, who have been awarded CGPA / GPA / SGPA or letter grades,
should convert the grades to percentage and provide only the equivalent percentage
of marks in the application form. Method of conversion should be brought at the
time of skill test, if called.

Will any Travelling Allowance be paid to me for attending the Written Test
/ Skill test?
Reply: No Travelling Allowance is payable to the candidates for attending the
Written Test. You will have to attend the written test at your own expense.
Candidates attending the skill test will be reimbursed second class sleeper train fare
from the address mentioned or the place from where you have actually traveled,
whichever route is shorter. However, at the time of skill test, if it is found that the
candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, he will neither be allowed to
appear in the skill test nor be reimbursed any Travelling Allowance.

I have forgotten to take the print out of the registration slip, what should I
do now?
Reply: Download your registration slip by visiting the website after furnishing either
registration number OR Email Id as entered by you at the time of registration.

Can I approach the associate banks of SBI with the pay in slip and deposit
the amount there?
Reply: No, you have to approach the nearest SBI bank only to deposit the
registration fee.

Briefly explain the selection process for the post of Diploma Trainee in
NTPC.
Reply: There are 2 stages in recruitment process for the selection of Diploma
Trainee (DT) in NTPC viz. Written test and Skill Test. Written Test consists of
Knowledge Test (Part-I) & Aptitude Test (Part-II). There is separate qualifying mark
in each part (40% in Part-I & 30% in Part-II for General and 25% relaxation to
OBC/SC/ST/PWD candidates). On the basis of the performance in written test,
candidates will be short listed for skill test. Candidates have to qualify in Skill Test
and the minimum qualifying marks is 40% for General category candidates and 30%
for reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PWD. The weightages of written test and skill
test are 85% and 15% respectively.
