Aims:
1. To revise the comparative & superlative degree of short adjectives
2. To revise and practise the comparison of irregular adjectives (good, bad)
3. To learn how to spell correctly adjectives ending in y, and e; adjectives that
have a short vowel sound
4. To use the question word Which? correctly
5. To ask and answer questions in order to fill in a factfile
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson the students:
1. will be able to use the comparative & superlative degree of short adjectives
correctly;
2. will have revised and practised the comparison of the irregular adjectives
good and bad;
3. will have learnt to spell correctly adjectives in the comparative ans superlative
forms;
4. will have practised the use of the question word Which?.
Description:
In this lesson, we will talk about describing and comparing animals, people, objects,
the weather etc, using short adjectives.
Teaching techniques/ Methods:
Conversation, guessing game, listening, reading comprehension, poster activities,
practical activities fill in chart in a powerpoint presentation.
Assessment: peer-correction, self-correction, continuous assessment, class tasks.
Organisation:
Whole-class, pairwork, groupwork, individual work.
Teaching aids:
Laptop, flipchart, flashcards of animals, coloured post-it, blu-tack, powerpoint
exercise, handouts, factfile of animals.
