    Here are the basic requirements to apply for admission to Columbia University's biomedical engineering program: - Complete high school diploma or equivalent (such as GED) - Take the SAT or ACT exam. Columbia University does not have a minimum SAT/ACT score but a competitive score would be around 1400-1500 for the SAT or 31-34 for the ACT. Higher scores will make your application more competitive. - Complete a rigorous college prep curriculum in high school including 4 years of English, 3-4 years of math (through pre-calculus minimum), 2-4 years of science, and 2-4 years of foreign language. Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or honors courses are highly recommended.
