The Ides of March

As I bask in todays balmy 78 degree weather I must remind myself that
it is still March. In fact it is the Ides of March, a time for heightened
awareness and caution. So I looked at the calendar and determined we
have a very busy week ahead leading up to the celebration of the
Resurrection.

1. When have you felt protected

during a strange or scary
situation?

Sunday our Community Easter Egg Hunts begins at 3 pm. I hope you have been inviting
your friends, families, and neighbors to attend. We will meet at the Pavilion. This is an
outreach event. Every family that participates will receive a copy of Easter Uncut by
Carl Laferton, Ridge Church information, VBS invitation, and a Bible.

2. Where do we encounter thieves

and robbers in todays world?

Also on Sunday at 5:30 pm is the Spaghetti Dinner and Talent Show fundraiser for
Youth MFUGE camp. Our goal is to raise $3,500.

3.C What do these I am statements

teach us about Jesus nature and
character?

On Tuesday at 2 pm. The deacons and the pastor will serve the Lords Supper to
residents at Prairie Living.

4. How can we learn to distinguish

Jesus voice from all others?
5. Whats our role in accessing and
benefiting from Jesus
protection?
****
Next Sunday: Sunrise Service 7 AM

Maundy Thursday service will begin at 6:15 pm with prayers and mediation and then we
will move to tables and observe the Lords Supper.
On Sunday morning at 7 AM we will begin our celebration of the Resurrection with a
sunrise service at our Pavilion followed by breakfast, and Small groups at 9:00 AM. The
Ridge Choir will present the cantata, Blessed Dawn at 10:15.
I hope you will find opportunity to attend many if not all of these events. Please be mindful
of those around you who need a place to worship this coming week. Invite them, bring
them, and befriend them.
