Dear Madam,
Thank you for inviting us to quote our charges for handling your personal and household effects for packing and
arranging subsequent shipment from Rome, Italy to residence in Trivandrum, India.
Based on the survey held at the residence, our quotation for arranging door-to-door services using via sea
transport will be as follows :

Insurance will be arranged by us at an additional cost of 3.5% of value furnished by you. Minimum chargeable
premium will be Rs.4750.00
Note : Service tax will be applicable @ 14.5% of the total invoice.
Our quotation includes the following services:
Origin services to include professional packing of all effects at your residence at origin using high quality
materials, labour, supervision, marking, inventory, etc.
Export documentation, transportation of packed consignment to the port/airport and clearance.
Transportation charges ex-origin upto arrival Chennai port in India, customs clearance, direct delivery of
the household goods to the residence in Trivandrum with normal access upto second floor (not involving
shuttle service), unpacking of effects and removal of debris.
Agency and attendance for co-ordinating all aspects of the relocation with various parties e.g. customs,
origin agent, Reserve Bank of India, Insurance Company, etc.
Our quotation excludes destination terminal handling charges, custom duties, taxes, port charges,
octroi, currency adjustment factor and demurrage/detention applicable in India. Also excludes general rate
increase in freight as applicable, shuttle and removal from / delivery to high rise buildings, use of extra manpower
for walking stairs, hoist, labour union charges, disassembly, parking permits, handling of heavy items (piano /
safes etc.), sundry third party disbursement, expediting fees, port guard / security, unpacking / re-packing owing
to abnormal customs inspection, overtime / detention of crew and vehicles, equipment hire, working on Sunday /
public holidays and services of professional trades people. Multiple pick-ups and storage related costs in transit, if
applicable will be extra.

Terms:
Validity: This quotation is valid if approved within 7 days and shipment occurs within 30 days.
Volume variation: Should there be a decrease / increase in the volume specified above, we will reduce/
increase our charges after taking into account fixed costs.
Payment: We request a written confirmation of the estimate upon placement of order

alongwith full payment.
General: All work is carried out in accordance with our standard terms and conditions, copy of which is
attached for your review.
Other Incidental Cost saving areas:
The fact that we have our office in Chennai with experienced and trained staff will facilitate the import
clearance procedure to ensure quick delivery. Local knowledge on octroi, local taxes, customs duty
evaluation etc., can only be controlled or minimised by expertise acquired over the past several years of
operating in India. Similarly, hard earned operational inter-personal relations with the local officials will
save down time in clearance procedures, resulting in savings of hotel expenses, demurrage/detention
costs at air and sea terminals etc.
We are also geared up to meet your storage requirements as we have a large warehouse that is very
conveniently located in Trivandrum. This obviously is an added advantage when it comes to storing a
shipment, as and when the need arises.
Our ability to accept a substantial portion of the move costs in Indian Rupees.
