St. Dominic Savio Joins Holy Cross Academy

Academy will now
have 3 elementary
schools in its program
Holy Cross Academy is proud to announce that St. Dominic Savio parish
will be joining the academy as a supporting parish.
After months of discernment, the
lay leadership of St. Dominic Savio
parish unanimously endorsed a petition to join Holy Cross Academy.
St. Dominic Savio found Holy Cross
Academy a good match because of our
shared commitment to a school with
strong Catholic identity and academic
excellence, said Fr. Rothschild, pastor
of St. Dominic Savio parish.
The Board of Directors of Holy
Cross Academy met and discussed the
option, finding the St. Dominic Savio

would fit well into the intended design

of the academy.
Since opening its doors in August of
2012, the academy has marked a new
and innovative approach to Catholic
education, one that includes specialized preschool, elementary and middle
school learning centers designed to
meet the academic and developmental
needs of students at a variety of ages.
This grassroots parish effort, the
first of its kind in the Archdiocese of
St. Louis, has brought together the
parishes of Annunciation, Our Lady
of Providence, Seven Holy Founders,
St. Michael the Archangel, and now
St. Dominic Savio in support of higher
quality Catholic education.
We are thrilled to welcome the St.
Dominic community into Holy Cross
Academy; they complete the collaborative model by providing a third

Knowledge and Service. Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with
