myth reveals about the nature an d meaning of death (or other related rituals) in ancient Greek

Mythology vs. Archaeology

How has archaeology been used to nuance our understanding of Classical mythology? Discuss with

reference to TWO (2) of the following:

1) The Minoans - Cretan mythology and the excavations at Knossos


OR

2) The Trojans - The Trojan War and the excavations at Troy


AND

3) The Romans - The foundation stories of Rome and excavations on the Palatine hill.

Be sure to outline the relevant mythology as well as all archaeological evidence, in sufficient detail.

(You must write about either 1 or 2 as well as 3).
