Bangladesh in 1971. This has been a phase of development, expansion
and consolidation of earlier gains.

region including this new nation. The University of Dhaka has passed

them is institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Bengali

Management, and Strategic Management these are working as life
redeemer in business sectors. After completing these educational parts
many of them move on banking sectors, multi-national companies,
teaching professions and some are turn themselves as entrepreneur.
The knowledge which they gather form academic papers its helps to
dealing with the techniques of costing and the use of cost information for
managerial planning and control. It includes costing of material, labor and
overhead, system of job-order costing, process costing, joint product and
by-product costing, budgetary control, various phases of preparation of
budget, techniques used and procedures involved in budgetary control.
IBA has different clubs which including business clubs, cultural club,
cricket club and debating club. Most important is that they have carrier
club. By different carrier fair or job fair they directly recruit from their
institution. Different well reputed organization are arranging these
program for merit hunts and grebe them in their organization.

From these club students are attending different seminars and others
programs which increasing their communication skill and improving
attitude. Attitudes form directly as a result of experience. They may
emerge due to direct personal experience, or they may result from
observation. Social roles and social norms can have a strong influence on
attitudes. Social roles relate to how people are expected to behave in a
particular role or context. Social norms involve society's rules for what
behaviors are considered appropriate. Someone admire greatly espouses
a particular attitude; are more likely to develop the same beliefs. For
example, children spend a great deal of time observing the attitudes of
their parents and usually begin to demonstrate similar outlooks.
Students of IBA also getting hall facilities. DU has 37800 students but has
only 21 resident halls. As a result many students do not get seat in hall
and some has to share their rooms and seats. They have bus services
almost all roots of Dhaka. So students can easily move one place to
another which easier the life. All campus are in is situated in the proper of
Dhaka cite. As Dhaka city is getting polluted DU campus is also getting so.
Moreover DU is getting campus almost like a town. Because there is
always nice cars, rickshaw crowd etc.

IBA students are more concern about Scholarship and moving abroad for
future study. They keep trying from very beginning from their education.
Moreover they are serious about that. IBA students have a good
reputation in job sector. They get privilege in selection board. So they
have much chance to be selected.
IBA alumni association is maintain very strong among them. After a
particular time they arrange different programs. And all alumni are
attending these programs. Not only that. Many students whom are not in
Dhaka city they are also coming to joining different events. And they are
doing different social activity like helping poor people in winter and
different climate situation.
Every good thing has some bad parts also. Political condition of Dhaka
University is very worst. Students have to leave class in one notice.
Unless they have a lots of session jam which delay their carrier.
Otherwise, many students are seemed that who not regular citizen of
Dhaka city are so its really hard to shift them in one notice. Moreover, all
students financial condition is not same so its hard to manage their life
style when they are left from their hall. Its really creating a hazard in
student life.

IBA has some own strength and opportunities which are working as there
life savior:
One of the top business schools in Bangladesh.
Acclaimed and established MBA and BBA Programs.
Diverse academic programs e.g. EMBA, MPhil, PhD, DBA etc and

support programs like MDP, MCP and others.

Prime choice among the recruiters in the industry.
Top choice among the students for pursuing business education.
Wide and enriched alumni network.
Highly trained and experienced faculty.
The increasing demand for business education.
The continuing demand for BBA and MBA graduates in the job market.
Global outreach programs for both faculties and students.
Local and foreign collaboration for co-creation and sharing of

knowledge, ideas and thoughts.

Increased focus on research and innovation

IBA also found with some weakness also which they have to recover:
Lack of international recognition.
Infrastructure insufficiency.
Narrow foreign affiliations.
Global accreditation is yet to be attained.
Limited focus on research and innovation.
Mushrooming of business schools in the country, particularly in
Dhaka.
Emergence of other IBA schools in different public universities such
as Rajshahi University and Jahangirnagar University.
The quality business education offered by many private universities
like NSU, AIUB, EWU, BRAC etc.
The influx of foreign university graduates into the corporate world
constricting the high demand for IBA graduates in the corporate
world.

This analysis is one of the major strategic tools widely used to

comprehend the status quo of an entity and is very resourceful to provide
future guidelines. This simple yet significant model provides a better
understanding where IBA currently stands and the arenas open to enter,
explore, and enrich to attain future goals and standards.
