Please note Monday, November 9th is
no longer a student holiday. School will be in session to make up for days missed in October.
Student Health screenings will be
conducted on Wednesday, November 4th for all students in grades K, 1st, 3rd (as well as students in 2nd & 4th grades who are new to the district).

Shop the Scholastic Book Fair on November 16-18 from 7:15 AM - 3:00 PM. A Family Evening Event will be held Monday, November 16 from 4:00 PM - 6:15 PM in the library. Prize drawings occur at 4:30 and 5:30. Winners receive $25 to spend in the book fair! Family and friends can also shop our ONLINE fair with extended dates from 11/ 06 -11/ 19. This year's Veteran's Day celebration will be held on November 10th at our 7:00 pm PTO meeting. Fourth graders will present the program for parents and Veterans.

Make Up Pict ure Day
Monday, November 2nd will be our make up picture day for all yearbook pictures. Pictures taken on October 1st were sent home on the 22nd. If you wish to purchase the pictures, make your checks payable to St rawbridge. Pictures or money are due by November 16th.
Fabul ous First Friday
Friday, November 6th is Fabulous First Friday. We are asking LMES families to spread HEART and SUNSHINE thoughts to those affected by the flood: You can send in a cash donation to help families in the District Five community OR Send in a gift card (gas, WalMart, Target, Lowe?s, groceries, etc.). Please indicate amount of gift card Regardless of your ability to donate financially, we would like all of our families to consider writing a note of encouragement to flood victims. We will ensure these notes reach families.
Our school screening program helps
identify children with untreated vision and hearing issues. Students in 3rd grade will also receive a dental screening. If your child does not meet district guidelines for passing one of the screenings, we will let you know and ask that you have your child checked by a health care specialist. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse at 803-476-4609.
