Additionally, she submitted Kalasalingam University's MoU to University of West Hungary for examination.

    REPORT ON BELGIUM VISIT DURING THE POSTDOCTORAL

    RESEARCH OF Dr. N.RAJINI


    Myself Rajini Nagarajan working as an Associate professor in Department of Mechanical
    Engineering, Kalasalingam University. I have been selected for doing my Postdoctoral research
    in Laboratory Soete, Ghent University, Belgium under CWO funding scheme. Laboratory Soete
    is one of the world famous large scale measurement unit. Most of the famous bearing industries
    like igus are regular consultant in this laboratory. Professor Dr. Patrick de Bates, Vice-Dean and
    Head of the Department of Mechanical and Production who is one of the leading tribologist in
    Europe guided me throughout my research period. During this period, I have given the four
    series of frequent lectures about the common facilities in Kalasalingam University, facilities in
    International research center and current research in natural fiber composites on the occasion of
    tribo-club meeting. The following outcomes have been achieved from this three month visit to
    Belgium.
    1. I am in the process of preparing 3 papers (one international conference at Hungary + two
    international journal papers) from the outcome of my completed quantum of research during this
    period.
    2. Two levels of discussion has been completed with the Vice-Dean of Ghent University
    regarding the MoU between Kalasalingam and Ghent universities. Based on the video
    conference meeting between the Vice-Dean of Ghent University and our VC and Dean
    International relations, the modification of MoU document is in progress with Vice-dean of
    Ghent University.
    3. Three of the researchers from Laboratory soete (including my Promoter Prof. Patrick De Baets
    (Vice Dean)) are agreed to visit our university during the occasion of international conference or
    Workshop.

    5. One of the postdoc researcher from laboratory soete, Ghent University Dr. Jacob Sukumaran
    has already given his concerned to handle the course Wear, friction and service life in
    engineering design for B.tech students ( He has already designed the syllabus of this course)
    especially those who are going to appear for their honors.
    6. And also, I have submitted the copy of our Mou to another university in Hungary, i.e,
    University of West Hungary. The memorandum already been submitted to the vice-rector for
    examination (he is the one who is responsible to establish cooperations), and hopefully we will
    have news about it very soon.
