Port forwarding for Huawei B260

A so-called Port forwarding must be set up to make the Maginon IPC-1 surveillance
camera accessible to the Internet when a Router firewall is active. The below instructions
explain how to set up such a port forwarding for the router model Huawei B260.
For this router model please also observe the note at the end of this description
regarding the Internet connection!
1) Determine the local network address of your router. This can, for instance, be obtained
using the supra IPCam Config program. Start a search whilst the IP camera is connected
and then select Address. Use the address listed under Standard gateway.
2) Enter the local network address determined as per 1) in the address line of your browser. This opens the Login window of the router.
3) Enter your user name and password for accessing the router, which can be found in the
Instruction Manual of your router.
The router is supplied with the user name and password both set to admin.
4) In the configuration menu of your router click left on the Advanced Settings option
and then on the right on Virtual Server. The following configuration view appears:

5) Enter the following:

Protocol: Select TCP or TCP/UDP.
Name: Any name can be entered.
IP Address: Local network address of Maginon IPC-1, provided by the supra IPCamConfig
program. With the IP camera switched on, start a search and then select Address. Use
the address which is shown under IP addresst.
Common Port: Leave default settings.
Status: Select On.
WAN Port: Enter value 81. (*)
LAN Port: Also enter value 81. (*)

6) Finally click on Apply.

7) Open the configuration page of the Maginon IPC-1. Start a search whilst the camera is
connected and then click on Browser.
8) Enter the user name and password for the Administrator. The default setting for the
Maginon IPC-1 is the user name admin, which does not require a password.
9) Select the Settings option from the screen and then Network settings.
10) In the last field change the value for Port of Web interface to value 81. (*)
11) Click on Save and restart the camera.
12) You can then reach the camera via the public IP address of your router with the suffix
:81. If the public IP address of your router is, for instance 179.128.19.27, you can reach
your camera from the Internet at http://179.128.19.27:81. (*)
The current public IP address of the router can be determined at any time from http://supracam.net/ip.aspx.
13) If you have set up a new DDNS address through supracam.net this will be updated
automatically.
(*) Instead of target port 81 you can also use any other port than 80. This would then
have to be taken into consideration in the above points 5), 10) and 12).
Note:
If your Internet connection is via a 3G network (mobile network), your Internet
access generally does not have a public IP address. As a public IP address is,
however, required for accessing the camera, you will have to contact your Internet
provider first and request allocation of a public IP address for your Internet access.
