ROLE OVERVIEW
This is an exciting role in the Universitys central Student Recruitment and Admissions Office
(SRAO) to work within the UK Recruitment Team delivering student intake numbers to meet
challenging targets for the recruitment of UK students at undergraduate and postgraduate
levels.
Based at the University of Liverpools London Campus, you will support the work of the UK
recruitment team with target feeder schools and colleges in London and the South East.
You will be an enthusiastic, highly organised individual who will become an outstanding
ambassador, raising the profile of the University and encouraging appropriately qualified
students to apply. You will work with prospective students, parents, supporters and influencers
to communicate complex information about higher education and market the unique selling
points of the University, the city and each programme.
The main focus of the role is on the recruitment of UK undergraduate students and you will
account manage the Universitys relationships with target schools and colleges implementing
the Schools and Colleges Recruitment Strategy and contributing to the on-going development
and implementation of the postgraduate recruitment plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Education Liaison Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering
undergraduate and postgraduate student intake number targets from the UK. This will be
achieved through the implementation of the Schools and Colleges Recruitment Strategy and
the continued development and implementation of a postgraduate recruitment strategy.
Through the development and management of relationships with key target schools and
colleges, prospective students and their supporters, you will drive applications from
appropriately qualified students and contribute to the conversion of those applicants into
registered students at the University of Liverpool.

DUTIES
Take responsibility for the implementation and delivery of the Universitys Schools and
Colleges Recruitment Strategy contributing to the development and evaluation of the
strategy each year.
Be responsible for a set number of target schools and colleges in London and the South
East, developing and managing the relationship with teachers, advisors and students in
order to drive applications to the full range of undergraduate programmes at the University.
Ensure that recruitment targets as specified in the Schools and Colleges Strategy are met,
assisting academic departments to meet their individual recruitment objectives.
Research, develop, deliver and continually update a range of presentations for students and
parents at schools and colleges around the country. These presentations could be on a
range of topics such as: student finance, the application process (UCAS or PG), personal
statements, the benefits of higher education and the key selling points of the University of
Liverpool.
Represent the University of Liverpool at London and South East recruitment events and
national higher education or careers events.
Monitor the effectiveness of the relationship with target schools and colleges through the
analysis of recruitment data.
Organise student recruitment inward visits in London including campus tours, open
evenings and schools relations visits.
Represent the University at postgraduate recruitment events internally, locally and
nationally.
Oversee Marketing Suite (print and digital) ensuring recruitment information for prospective
students is relevant and up to date, liaise with the Marketing Communications Team in
SRAO as appropriate.
Interrogate, interpret and report on data relating to recruitment activities to inform strategy
and review plans.
Regularly update knowledge of developments within the HE sector, qualification changes,
changes to the portfolio of programmes and entry requirements.
Monitor changes to student finance regulations.
Have a working understanding of policy and practice for widening participation in England.
Build relationships with key stakeholders including a range of staff within schools, colleges
and university departments.
Play a key role in the organisation and delivery of events in London for key stakeholders,
including an annual London-based conference for teachers and career advisors.
Utilise the departments CRM (customer relationship management) and events software to
promote, manage and report on events and conferences.
Promote events and conferences using digital communications and social media ensuring
all correspondence and communications are appropriate and distributed correctly.
Play a key role in the implementation of plans for the recruitment of students through
Clearing.
Make offers on undergraduate degree programmes to Clearing applicants.
Travel extensively to build effective relationships and support recruitment activity.
Assist the Events Team in the co-ordination and delivery of London-based events including
open days and applicant discovery days.
Participate in regular team meetings (via teleconference, Skype) with the Enquiries and
Fulfilment Function and Marketing Communications Team in SRAO, as SRAO liaison,
highlighting any relevant issues for action.
Undertake any other duties as may be required by the Education Liaison Manager, Head of
UK Recruitment or the Director of SRAO.
