infrastructure or trained professionals. The trained staff can relay the patient related
data and clinical findings to a doctor sitting in a distant clinic. Thus, by using
telemedicine, the doctor can interpret the clinical data and manage the patient in
real-time. With the help of trained professionals and mobile devices, it is possible to
diagnose and screen many critical diseases. The e-learning modules can be used for
the training the health workers involved and also for imparting primary health
education in the target areas. This model, if implemented in a proper way, could
play an important role in filling the gaps in primary care delivery system in the
country.
To achieve my goal, a PGP from ISB would help me build a solid foundation to
develop a strategy and an execution plan. The academic tenure would also hone my
management and entrepreneurial skills. Networking with alumni and industry
leaders in the field would give me an opportunity to understand the real-life
business issues and gain valuable insight from their experiences. Regular
interactions with my peer group and the faculty would help in analysing my
approach from different perspectives and in learning the best practices in
healthcare delivery systems from across the world.
I have worked with many NGOs to conduct health camps. where Iin addition to
providing medical care in these camps, I also created awareness in society
regarding health, hygiene and family planning. I participated in pre-school
educational activities for children and women empowerment programmes by
providing them basic education and vocational training. I was involved with
HIV/AIDS programmes, where I was a part of the team providing counselling to the
HIV/AIDS patients, creating awareness among the patients as well as the peer about
HIV/AIDS, and educating people about safe sexual practices. Working with the
underprivileged gave me a sense of satisfaction and purpose and made me a more
active and compassionate community member.
I have been an avid reader since childhood. Reading a book helps me to relax and
reduce my anxiety and stress levels at times. It has been a great source of
knowledge and a medium for improving my vocabulary and writing skills. Reading
has contributed in improvement of my concentration and focus, and also enhanced
my creativity.
I am an active sports person. I was the captain of the cricket and football team of
my batch in college that won record number of matches. Playing sports has
improved my confidence and sportsman spirit and made me a competitive person.
Captaining a side has helped in developing my leadership skills and team
management skills. Playing in a team also made me appreciate the abilities of my
teammates and develop a healthy respect for them. Sports also taught me the
concept of strategy and importance of goal-setting.
I also have a passion for sketching. This not only helps me manage my stress but
also gives me a medium to hone my creative skills.
5. How has your profile changed from the time you last applied to the ISB? (300

In the past year, I have been part of many health camps in the urban slums in India.
This experience has given me insight intoto the primary healthcare needs of the
deprived section living in the cities. I have used my knowledge of technology and
medical field to assess some of the areas where use of technology can help in
primary diagnosis and screening of many diseases. This experience has also shown
me the important role e-learning can play in health education of the community and
into raisingraise the awareness regarding health and various diseases.
Working for an NGO, I have been involved in healthcare projects in rural parts of the
country. This experience has given memy first-hand experience of the basic
healthcare needs and challenges involved in healthcare delivery system. I observed
