topology hiding.
{ Involved in all phases of the project (Documentation, Designing of test cases, dev test, automation
using TCL scripting, regression testing, communicating with customer support engineer).
{ Travelled to USAs office of Sipera Systems Inc. Worked on project critical issues along with
developers and dev test engineers to setup testbed, wrote automation test scripts for faster
execution.
{ Good analytical, problem solving, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
{ At present on the verge of completion of Ph. D. on Stochastic Analysis of Communication Networks
using Stochastic Dynamic Programming (Markov Decision Process) in Department of Mathematics,
IIT Bhubaneswar under the guidance of Dr A. D. Banik since Jan2013.

Experience
Academic
Jan2013-till Pursuing Ph. D., Dept. of Mathematics, IIT Bhubaneswar.
date Mathematical modeling using Markov Decision Process (known as stochastic dynamic programming) in Telecom network, Wireless, Ad-Hoc networks under Dr. A.D. Banik. Present status:
Writing thesis, waiting for 1 more journal papers acceptance to submit thesis.

Mar2012- Asst. Prof., KIIT University , Bhubaneswar, India.

Dec2012 Taught Theory of Computation, Algorithm Design and Analysis, Computer Netowrks.
Jan2009- MPLS-Linux testing, GS Sanyal School of Telecom, IIT Kharagpur, India.
Oct2011 Developed mathematical model for DiffServ using Queueing Theoritical technique called
vacation queue. Installed and compiled an open source MPLS-Linux on Linux kernel 2.6.15.1
for building a real time testbed. Analyzed performance and delay characteristics for link failure,
multi path routing, load balancing using IP Netfilter, Linux Advanced Routing and Traffic
Control (LARTC). Traffic shaping on the outgoing interface using hierarchical token bucket
(HTB) and class based queueing (CBQ).

Working
Oct2006- Senior QA Engineer, Sipera Systems Inc., Hyderabad, India (start-up company).
Sept2008 Sipera Systems (http://www.sipera.com/) is a start-up company which is acquired by Avaya
in 2011. We have grown from 35 Engineers to 70 Engineers from 2006 to 2008. Sipera develops
a VoIP-NAT device for protecting VoIP servers of Financial Institution like Lehman Brothers,
Goldman Sachs, Wells Fergo. My responsibilities are:
Testing of SIP NAT traversal,
SIP over Transport layer security protocol,
High Availability, Election of primary secondary, topology hiding,
SDP modification, Codec negotiation.
Writing/reviewing test plan, writing TCL scripts for automation.
Worked at Sipera Systems USA office for 3 months for setting up of testbeds.

Apr2004- Member Technical Staff, HCL Technologies Ltd. Cisco ODC, Chennai, India.
Oct2006 Testing of ATM functionalities over T1/E1 as physical layer wherein ATM functionalities are
provided from Mother board of Cisco Routers, SIP-H.323 interworking, topology hiding in SIP
headers, Codec negotiation, Call hold, Xfer, MGCP fallback to H.323. Received a letter of
recognition for the above project and worked in Cisco, Bangalore for 6-12 months to setup the
test bed with Abacus simulator.

Nov2003- Member Technical Staff, Teknotrends Software Pvt. Ltd, Blore, India.
Mar2004 Client Server communication, Running the Nmap port scanner.
