The Cactus Classic is co-hosted by Scottsdale Aquatic Club in Scottsdale, AZ, and Sun Devil Aquatics in
Tempe, AZ. This meet offers great competition for swimmers of all ages. This meet offers separate preliminary
sessions for swimmers 12&U (at Cactus Pool in Scottsdale) and 13&O swimmers (at Mona Plummer Aquatic
Center in Tempe). All of the finals are swum together (all ages) at Mona Plummer. This unique format provides
great competition as well as a great team atmosphere for finals.
A portion of the meet proceeds will go to SAVE ASU SWIMMING.

Meet Start following 15-minute warm-up
immediately after 800/1500 Free
All swimmers are limited to THREE (3) individual events per day. A swimmer is limited to NINE (9) individual events
for the meet. All USA Swimming athletes must have equaled or bettered the listed Qualifying Time (Q-time) to be
eligible for the meet. Swimmers that have at least ONE (1) Q-time will be allowed a maximum of TWO (2) BONUS
events up to the individual event limit for the meet (events 400m or longer may not be used as bonus events). Times
achieved in short course yards must be marked SCY. Seeding will be as follows: LCM, SCY.
This will be a preliminaries/finals meet for swimmers in the 10&U, 11-12, 13-14 and 15&O Age Groups.
The Senior (13-14 and 15&O) events will be combined for preliminaries. The individual events for 13-14 Age Group and
the 15&O Age Group will be separated for Finals.
FINALS will be conducted as follows at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center:

prior to the start of the session in order to swim the event. This is a TIMED FINALAS event. Swimmers must provide their own
timers. This event may be limited to the TOP 32 entries in the 15&O age group and the TOP 24 entries in the 13-14 age group at
the discretion of the meet referee. This event will be scored separately by age groups (13-14 and 15&O).
** The 800/1500 Free will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating heats of women and men. Positive check-in is required 30 minutes before
the scheduled start of the session in order to swim the event. Swimmers must provide their own times and personnel to count laps.
This event may be limited to the TOP 24 entries in the 15&O age group and the TOP 16 entries in the 13-14 age group at the
discretion of the meet referee. This event will be scored separately by age groups (13-14 and 15&O).
*** The 13-14 and 15&0 Relay Events must be pre-entered by the meet entry deadline. Relay names must be turned in to the Clerk of
Course 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the days preliminary session; however they may be changed up to the time the
heat begins. The 13-14 and 15&0 Relays will be combined for seeding, but scored separately. If there are four (4) or more
combined heats, the fastest 2 heats will swim in finals and all other heats will swim at the end of preliminaries. If there are three (3)
or fewer heats, all heats will swim in finals.
